I hear ya. Almost like a pulling tractor tire. We will see I have a theory about tire tread and Bonneville but it may be a BS theory to The short version is landspeed tires and airplane tires have the same tread (solid continuous ribs). They still have good pumping action but don't allow for the front edge of the tread to tear or chunk. Chunking is a major issue at Bonneville.

We will see if I am full of %€¥£. I have an extra tire and my surform just in case we need to do some trimming
