I suspect that the lip protrusion on the Dunlop 240 Elite 3 is because the factory recommended wheel width is 8.00" [ ] http://www.dunlopmotorcycle.com/tirecatalog_tire.asp?id=91 I think Bruce, aka Riverat , was the 1st to mount the Elite 3 on the 8 1/2" wheel here in CA for last years ride...
