&lt;p&gt;I got the tail hook under the rear bracket but the front won&amp;#39;t lock down. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;When new, a little petroleum jelly or wax on the rear hook and rubber pads will help it latch. &lt;p&gt;2 1/2 yr old seat being reworked Oct &amp;#39;07&amp;#39; at their plant, No Chg! Foam was removed from the thigh area effectively making the seat feel lower &lt;img src="http://rswarrior.com/emoticons/emotion-1.gif" alt="Smile" /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

This seat definitely puts you further back in the saddle away from the bars and appears to be slightly higher. Feet are further ahead also as if i extended the controls.
