At the same time, we need to acknowledge the Brits were deep into it before we got off our lazy butts and decided to help. It wasn't just the USA that kept France from speaking German. Australia, Canada, Great Britain, New Zealand, Russia, the USA and a bunch of other countries were all involved. None could have done it on their own.
