I am thinking of doing this mod this winter, I was on O.E's web site and noticed they have these, how come in the 2nd link it doesnt have compression ratio and it has 106.3 instead. and I was looking at P.R's also and they are 10.25 -1 what ones do I buy and why. I have searched but I dont know the pro's and cons of either. thanks mike JE Piston Kit - Yamaha - XV 1700 Road Star Warrior/100mm/10.5:1 1775cc/SOLD EACH JE Piston Kit - Yamaha - XV 1700 Road Star Warrior/106.3mm/Flat Top/SOLD

it is caliper paint I would think calipers can get pretty hot, well anyways I am going to have to repaint them cause I had some paint flaking off when I was mounting them. I am going to wait until I park it for the winter and take them to work and sand blast them and primer and repaint. I'll def. get high temp paint . thx Hey pep did you ever get a custom map? if so how do you like it was it much different? mike

thanks for the replies, I went to the local harley dealer and they crimped them for me for free. The one thing I am not so sure about is how far they are going into the coilsome of them I kinda felt a snap when it was all the way in but the other I pushed them in real hard with pliers, there is some of the brass showing that didnt go in the coil maybe a 1/4 inch or less. I started it and went for a ride it seems to run fine.I couldnt hear the snap some people are talking about. I closed the gaps
