• Re: the truth!!
Ive raced a V Rod Destroyer at the track 1/8mile I run 7.812 with the best of 7.7569 He runs 6.25 with a best 6.21on the Destroyer. the destroyer is rated at170hp out of the box and I think the motors 1300cc so its not really like racing a stock v rod but if one does show up Ill let you know how it does.
I would not consider a destroyer close to a stock V rod. Very impressive times.

  • Re: just walked away from a v-rod

I am sorry.... The Warrior is a great bike, but your friend cannot ride worth a ***, if this is a true story. A 60 mph 5th gear roll on? 60 mph is more of a 3rd gear cruising speed for the v rod. Jogging away? Why does it seem like some folks on this forum, more than any other I belong to seem to brag and talk about how they smoked this and walked away from that? I have friends that ride all makes and models, HD, Warrior, M109R's and some Crotch Rockets, and ride them well, so I do not consider

It "boggles your mind"? Must not be tough to do, but it really has to do with gearing and rpms. Who the hell lugs thier bike around? What does the warrior redline at? 6,000 rpms? ( I am guessing so please correct me if I am wrong). From the factory the V rod redlines up around 9,000 rpms. With a race tuner (that is an HD fuel management/tuning software, as no one runs a carb) you can bump this up to 10,000 rpms. The V rod does not even start to make power until 5,000 rpms. Does that help

  • Re: Smoked by a wide glide:(

Don't think "Screamin Beagle" makes a 120 c.i. I have said it a couple times, some of those "hardley's" as you guys so affectionatley refer to them can surprise you.

Maybe it is you who does not understand. I think you have made up the "blow me off" thing in your mind. Had he done that you would have been gone. You keep talking about how you stayed with him. I have let several bikes pass me, because I was not on it or really cared. I am going to let this be. You keep living the dream and enjoy whatever bike your riding. Tell yourself whatever you want to about the situation. I threw in my 2 cents because it is a public forum. The top speed was brought

Had he accelerated hard you would not have been right there. Then you go onto talk about riders and how comfortable they feel in different places and situations. Then you go on to say "I don't care what the machine is capable of if the rider can't perform to the full potential of the machine". Your title says Warrior vs VROD Muscle. Don't think it was the case. Title should have been I raced a chicken *** who did not know I was running him and won, Warrior 1 Chicken *** 0. Does

I don't think you can consider that a run. A v rod will top out at around 140 or so.

  • Re: Finally turbo is hanging! ..and r1 shocks installed

What kind of ponies are you guys expecting this to make at the rear wheel? The turbo will definatley help with mileage, the motor just does not work at hard. How many lbs of boost is planned?
