I live in New York (not the city) the only thing that could have really been considered a road hazard is the fact that it was chilly, 60's i think it was. I was actually on a slight uphill grade also. Tire pressures are still at factory, should i change them? I go about 200 lbs. The bike was also just in for first maintanence and they said it felt fine to them. It was a yamaha only dealer with a great rep. Maybe it was just me!?

I was only goin about 20-25 when the car pulled out in front of me but i did grab kinda hard but i don't think it was hard enough to lock it up like that, but then again like i said i'm used to the sport bikes. Guess i have some emergency stop practicing to do. Thanks for the info guys.

Hi i come from the rocket world, my last bike was a 2001 R6, and recently purchased a 2007 midnight warrior. I know there are major diffs. between riding a rocket and riding this bike but my Q is about the brakes. I have been having trouble with the front tire locking up if the brakes are applied very hard at all. Actually i just laid her down 2 days ago because a car pulled out in front of me and the front tire locked up and kicked out. Anyone else have this problem, any advice?
