Sounds like a load imbalance with your electrical problem. Did you recently remove your license plate light or turn signals? If so a simple fix is to turn the bike off in neutral with the key. That will allow it to decompress the solonoid(?) and it won't tick anymore. I have the same problem with mine and I just always turn it off in nuetral. Haven't ever had any problems. AlanH and some other will have a better explanation though.

The key and have the bike in neutral and you should be just fine.

Well fine Mike, since its been two years of turning off in neutral maybe I should make the correction. Especially since in the summer the bike it hot and getting in neutral is a pain. Where can I find a resistor? I am putting on the Kuryakyn turn signal mirrows this week so I might as well do this also.

Or some inserts to fill the entire recessed area. That does look good. How about a pic from farther back so we can see how it looks with the rest of the bike?
+1 on the inserts and pivot hole plug. There used to be a few guys on here doing different CF and billet pieces but neither of the two I'm thinking of still do but you can probably find someone if you search.
I totally want some plugs like those. Anyone
