    Newbie in Northern KY

Hey all, I just bought a purple 02, after riding HURD's.  I've been riding since 1993, but can't handle the back ache from my CBR any more.  I have three bikes in my stall, a 1981 Honda CM400T, 1994 Honda CBR 600F2, and now 2002 Warrior.  What a difference!  Boatloads of torque anywhere in the rpm range, handling like a sportbike, drop dead good looks!  What a package!  The Warrior had drag bars installed, and a Cobra exhaust when I bought it.  Otherwise it is stock.  None of the recalls were done yet.  I had tires installed and the TPS and CTS recall done on Monday.  I'm trying to decide if I want Richwood Powersports to do the tranny recall or not.  I don't know them well enough to trust them to do it.  Any feedback?  I'm going to remove the ugly rear fender tomorrow, and probably get different pipes.  I usually do most mods myself, and service all of my own vehicles.  My passion is anything fast; muscle cars, muscle bikes, boats,  etc.  I live in Northern KY and prefer Jack Daniel's Black (Tennesee whiskey) over Jim Beam (KY whiskey).  Great site, Thanks for the info!

Welcome to the forum, now go and wipe that silly grin off of your face.  The medical term is too much Warrior.  Don't know any thing about the shops in your area though sorry.  Enjoy the bike though.

    Welcome to the forum.

So consider yourself a lucky guy that the tranny recall has not been done yet.

You can get free labor while they are at it, roadie fifth gear / 110 Cubic Inch / etc etc...

Ugly rear fender!? Huh? What are you talking about...The rear fender on the Warrior is far from ugly, it's what makes the lines of the Warrior flow...One of the features that most attracted me to the Warrior was it's clean, flowing lines...The rear fender looks went better then any of those ordinary, usually round, ugly, plain a$$ rear fenders that you see on other bikes.

I don't know maybe someone did a hack job or something on your rear fender, but the stock rear fender on the Warrior is far from ugly.

Anyway...Welcome to the forums and congrats on getting your Warrior...

Do the tranny recall with the RoadStar 5th gear as suggested earlier. Welcome to the club.

Congrats,  I wish I had my 2002 without a recall.  I would be going for the latest big bore kit they have on the market.  Labor will never be cheaper than free.  Upgrade that torque and horsepower brother - dont let this opportunity pass you buy.  I would think it to be very rare to find an 2002 without the recall completed.
Get it down and all the free labor and your engine upgrades.

Welcome to the 4M! It's always a good thing to hear about more Kentucky Warriors.

I'm just south of you in Georgetown. I'm in your neck of the woods a lot during the warm months as I ride up an visit the Kentucky Speedway often to catch the various races.
