    Re: Beautiful Weekend weather

    Shag:

Yeah, this is soup weather for sure.  I made a big pot of cheeseburger soup and Billy and I took apart the front and rear brake assemblies on his quad to figure out what parts we needed to order to fix his brakes.  Now I have to somehow try to put up with Kelsea's boyfriend for a couple of hours.  Kim just went to pick him and Kelsea up from church to bring them back here to hang out for a while.  Hmm...  seems like there was something I needed to be working on out in the shop...  hmmm....

Yep we just got home from church, good day to just sit around and watch some 200mph bumper to bumper white knuckle racing!!!!Surprise  I plan on going to the woods later and work on the hunting property. Would ride but a nail has that idea FLAT!!!! I know this is an age old question but would you guys plug or patch? You all know my riding style and which do you guys think would be best, and just what the heck is cheeseburger soup?

    Re: Beautiful Weekend weather

John, have the tire patched from the inside at your local bike shop. It is rated to hold up to well over a 100mph so you shouldn't have to worry about it after that. I did it on the FZ and rode the piss out of it. Stick out tongue

    Cheeseburger soup...right click .....save.

The weather SUCKS! Angry I am SOOOO TIRED of nice weather all week long and when the weekend rolls around it just goes to crap! Super Angry

    Re: Beautiful Weekend weather

Patch is the way I wanna go but finding a shop to do it is a pain. Most of them won't do it for liability reasons. I may just plug it but really want a patch!

Check this out. Looks like Hendrick Toyota in Fayetville has teamed up with 4X4 Cross Racing and is renting the park for the whole weekend for what they're calling the first annual Rockvember Benefit. $20 donation gets you into the scheduled events across the street from the Eldarado Outpost and you can still go wheeling if you want. Beautiful weather too.

Check out the list of events and prize give aways. There will also be some 4 wheel drive magazines photographers there. Sounds like fun to me. My sister is coming to town tommorrow for the day though so that kinda screws me on SaturDAY. Wonder how early she plans to leave? I could pack the tent and make it down for the evening events. Band, bonfire, raffles and food. Then go wheeling Sunday. Anyone think they might be interested?

We had been thinking of going Sunday with the ATVs but...  I don't think we're gonna make it now.  I ordered brake parts for the kids' ATVs last Sunday and just yesterday got a tracking number for the parts.  They're not even heading our way yet from Texas.  Just now got in the system with a number.  So we won't have them until probably Tuesday of next week at the earliest.  And the kids' brakes are basically non-existent at this point.  I really gotta fix them before I let them go riding those things anymore.  Maybe your sister would like to go Saturday?

Well actually I did. Spent most of the day yesterday hunting, didn't bag one but saw some nice small ones. I guess there is just something peaceful about sitting in the woods and hearing and seeing nature....AHHHH relaxing!!

I got in a short ride yesterday and today.  Yesterday was solo and today I talked Dwight and Trilby into spending a couple of hours with me.  I hope I didn't put too much hot sauce on the chili cheese fries, you guys.  Stick out tongue  Saw the Superman bike at Locked & Loaded.

    Re: Beautiful Weekend weather

Yeah, I love being in the woods at day break and listening to them come alive. Great feeling. Yes

I remember that bike Travis. It was made by the guys in Zebulon right? What was the name of the place....you know...it's actually where we met the first time... I think. Scootworks! That's it.

There were multiple wrecks on I-40 today. It sucked bigtime. Eight miles of stopped bumper to bumper traffic. Out of one wreck and into another one. Ughh. Finally made it home though. Confused
