I took it apart pretty far this time. Had the ENTIRE clutch assembly off of the bike, the whole left side of the drivetrain was removed. Starter/battery/battery box all completely off. Stopped by the HD dealer on the way home today and got the one last gasket I needed. Got it all bolted together tonight. Was a little nervous, but turned the key and hit the starter and it IMMEDIATELY fired up. Clutch lever felt loose so I figured I knew what would happen... Pulled in the lever and held FIRMLY on the front brake... pushed the shifter down and *CLUNK* it went into first and tried to leap forward, and stalled out immediately. I need to adjust the clutch but I've already read the procedure on how to do that and it's very simple. Should take me about 20 minutes if I'm taking my time. The procedure on putting all that stuff back together today even said "Adjust clutch" as one of the steps but I ignored it, figuring I'd adjust it if needed. It's needed.

I'll do that tomorrow after work, adjust the shifter lever to the right height, and polish up the chrome and I will be ready to
ROLL.

Looking forward to trying out my new chrome.

Oh, by the way, I was looking at the Harley website. It's not really that expensive at all to buy the new cylinders and pistons to bump the displacement up to 103 cubic inches. Hmmm... And the 255 Stage 2 cams are dirt cheap... Hmmm... The whole kit for cams and jugs/pistons is barely over $1000. I'm sure I could do the work myself. Hmm.... Might be an interesting winter project.
