Ok I would like to thank all for a great fathers day ride. I had a ball one slight near death experience and a Bee Sting at 60 mph. But all is good. Dwight it was nice to see ya turn 50 you old pahrt because the week before I  turned 38 and that shows me how fast 50 is coming. As far as the Diapers go I dont want to know about your leaking diapes like you dont want to know about my rear end. AKA MY REAR DIFFERANTAL IN MY TRUCK. As far as your little bit of junk. please understand that is still TMI and i dont think you can fool Trilby with the Optical allusion.

Bee sting?  I missed that but I've had my share while riding.  About the near death experience...  if it's any consolation don't feel too bad about that.  You're not the first person to have a near-death experience trying to keep up with Dwight and I on a motorcycle.   WinkStick out tongue  You and Anna gonna try to make it out for that LONG ride on Sunday, Jim?

    IRON BUTT

Hmmm...  I'm getting the urge again to try this out.  1,000 miles in one day.  Anyone else interested into looking into doing a 1,000 mile ride in a day to get your Iron Butt certification?  Pretty sure I could do it...  now that I have a Harley...  Wink

I posted the map of the route they're gonna take... I'm guessing there will be ten bikes or less. There's not a lot of people at work who ride much. They like to TALK about riding a lot but...

Oh... and the guy who's organizing the ride said he chose mostly roads with 3 digits or more... something like that... meaning mostly back-roads. I *think* it should be a pretty relaxing ride.

Hmmm...  OK, looking into this a little more...  1,066 mile round trip from my house to Daytona Beach, Florida and back.  If I left at 4:00 am and averaged 66 mph during the trip then I would get back home at 8:00 pm.  Hmm....  95% of the trip would be on I-95 where the speed-limit is mostly 70 mph.  This sounds very doable...  Hmmm....  Hmm  I found a "Primus" one liter fuel bottle for about $20 shipped to my door.  Could keep gasoline in that "just in case."  I have inner tubes so I could bring along a can of fix-a-flat.  Some water in a bottle, some food that's easy/quick to eat...  Stop for gas no more than ten times and eat during the gas stops.  Yeah...  I could do this......

Re: Dang UPS guys spying on my packages and labeling them!!!!

Well, I wish y'all could make it for the ride tomorrow.  I got a new helmet that's open-faced.  Had a chance to try it out today.  Kim and I rode to the Harley dealer to get a couple of small items for the bike.  Pretty warm out there but not bad as long as you keep moving.  The helmet helped a little with the heat.  Some dipshit tried to back his car out on top of Kim and I in the Kroger parking lot.  Almost made Kim drop the beer!  Angry  I don't care what people say about loud pipes.  They didn't save our life today, but they saved the lives of 12 beers when I gunned the throttle to alert Mr IHaveMyHeadUpMyAss to our presence.  DevilSuper AngryBig Smile  I'm still thinking about doing the Iron Butt thing next Thursday...  If I do then I'll be crossing the 8,000 mile mark on the bike VERY soon.  Got a little over 6,500 miles on it right now and will put close to 400 miles on it tomorrow.  I'm really enjoying this bike and think I'm gonna be keeping it probably longer than any other bike I've ever owned.  New bling for the bike today (red spark-plug-wires):
