    Re: V-BAK kits UPDATED 9-25-08

Well for now I've decided that it ain't broke for now I'm gonna hold off on everything for a little while. Need to concentrate on getting my landcruiser running right now. It's getting colder and the bike is gonna get interesting here in a couple weeks/months when it's below freezing in the early mornings riding to work. I've got the mod bug though and will be doing work on the bike in the near future.

    Thanks again for the info

Greetings all, Church was tryin to send ya an e-mail but my outlook is being difficult. Would there be any way that you might be able to tell me if you have any kits laying around, send me an e-mail about pricing and shipping ( eaw21400@hotmail.com ), does the instructions come with pics, and is the AIS mod necessary or just easier to do with the tank off? Thanks again, and i hope that I am not too late to be able to get rid o the 'coffin cleaner'. Web

I installed my V-bak today thanks Church it's sweet was a little time consuming but it's worth it. I'll adjust the ECU tomorrow. Running way lean. Definately a different sound for sure. Something to get used to. Oh did anyone have issuse with the plug wires to the coils? The little clips on mine were surprisingly brittle for the bike only being an 08.

Whats the new sound like? IS it better or does it sound odd?

It's a thumping sound almost. Not sure exactly what I'm hearing for sure. It's a nice change to the quiet sound that the stock air box had can actually hear the motor working now. I plan on pulling the tank Sunday so that I can check the plugs at that time I'll make sure that the coil wires haven't wiggled out. Used some RTV at the edge to re secure them since the clips broke.
