    Modified Amospro map

Well it seems like a few of you guys are interested in the modified map I made using Amospro's original map. Please refer to TWeek's original thread for some of the steps that led to the modifications. The bike does pop a tiny bit on decel (2.5K-3.25K rpm), but that's because I removed the fuel from 0% throttle to improve fuel milage. Currently I am working on the 2-3K area of Amospro's map to retain the power and reduce some of the popping, but I have not modified it in this download. This map is still a work in progress, but it provides great power, low throttle drivability, and I get about 39-40MPG. Enjoy, and please post all your observations so I can continue to improve this map...again, credit goes to Jody for his awesome map[:D]

P.s. Don't forget to set your 0% throttle position, and yes I know...a custom map is the best way to go.

    Re: Modified Amospro map

RX_Warrior I have had this map in my bike for about 2 months and it rocks. My thing is I can't find a dyno tuner around here that will tune my bike for me. RX_Warrior this has been a big help for me. Thanks! I do get the same pop as you on deceleration (2.5K to 3k-3.25k rpm) but it's not that bad at all. It will all most stop the popping altogether once the bike is warm. Thanks again for all your time and your in put! Can you let me know if you get your bike on the dyno?

ABSOLUTELY![:D]...just haven't had the time....soon though. I don't mind the little popping either...heck...it's a lot less than before PCIII, but a ton more power. What I love about it is that the bike runs perfect on a cold start in 1st and second gear rolling out the garage and into the street....zero popping![:D]

Whats the other mods done to the bike you did this map on? Does that even make any sense? Sounds like I am retarded....ANYWAY!
    What exhaust, air intake, etc....thanks.

It's for the speed* pipe and Churchkey's VBAK.

I've been running amospro's oringal map on my 02 and I like it. But always room for improvement I guess. Sides, I like messing around as well.

So, this is the new and improved map ay!...I downloaded it and will give it a try. It's gettin friggin cold around here. Went out yesterday for a quick rip....froze my butt off!. may have to wait for a milder day to test the new modified map. Thanks for sharing man!

    Re: Modified Amospro map

As I mentioned earlier, my attempt was to achieve 3 goals w/o getting a custom map:
    1. Retain Amospro's power
    2. Improve low throttle response
    3. Incease fuel milage compared to Amospro's orginal map.

In the comment section of the map, you will see exactly what changes were made to Amospro's map. I will put it here for your reference:

    S* pipe
    Churchkey's VBAK
    AIS block off
    ECU settings: CO1:0, C02:0 (Amospro's stock settings)
This is a modified map of Amospro. Here are the modifications:
0% throttle: returned all values to zero to improve fuel milage (may cause more popping)
    2% throttle: 11 @ 1750rpm similar to Dynojet 403-030 (Pro-pipe & Baron's BAK) and Tweek's (S* pipe,Baron's BAK)
10s from 2000-2750 RPM to reduce popping on deceleration similar to Tweek's, CJ's, Stevo's, & Dynojet 403-030 maps
    5% throttle:
5,10,16 @ 750,1000,1250 RPM (close to averaged values of Tweek's map, and same values as Dynojet M403-010)
15,11,7,3 @ 2.5K-3.25K RPM as per Nolan's, Dynojet (403-030,008,009) maps and similar to Tweek's map
    5% throttle: Removed vales for 3.5k & 3.75K RPM as Per Tweek's, Nolan's, and CJ's maps

    Re: Modified Amospro map

Dude thats a lot of work man. I started doing some map compares and some map averages and got lost in what I was doing. So keeping track of the base map that you are testing, while picking up averages, and customizing rpm and %throttle ranges is a challange.

Thanks for the hard work man!...I know I'm not alone when I say thanks for the hard work. I'll post up when I load this map and let cha know the results.

    Re: Modified Amospro map

ok Ali, you been the guy working hard on the modified Amospro map.
So, here I am with the pc3 serial.

The thing is this, the serial model only goes from 500 to 6000 rpm in 500 rpm increments.
The USB goes in increments of 250 rpm. So, what I have done in the past is take the the numbers from the corresponding lines from the USB map and copy/paste into a new serial map. problem with this thinking is I miss out on the 750, 1250, 1750, and so on fuel table numbers.

So, can I convert the .djm file to a .map file ?? or can I add these 250 line increments to a .map file?
I guess I need a .map file that has the 250 rpm increments or be able to change the .djm file to be compatible with the .map table.

Is that the "reduce to basic" function on the USB software...?? do you get what I am getting at!!??

    Re: Modified Amospro map

"Demote Map To Basic" will take an Advanced map (a map with 2 tables) and reduce it to one (either by averaging them or by choosing one of the two tables). As far as the increments in .djm vs the .map files I have no clue how to do that. I would consult one of the experts in the forum (Frankenstein) to see if it could be done. I don't know if this would work, but how about saving the .djm file as a .map file....keep experimenting and you will figure it out...that's what makes it fun.

    Re: Modified Amospro map

Ya, been experimenting...so far no go. been reading through the user manual for both the USB and serial models.
I sent an email to dynojet for some technical assistance to see if this can be done.

I mean seems to me its a simple table modification....I hate to think I loose all those rpm sub-increments...I would think they make a map smoother so I hope dynojet tech support says it can be done and here's how. But...I'll keepa hackin at it!.

You are welcome...please report any issues (i.e popping, stuttering, etc) at various rpms so I can get a more global sense of the effect of the changes on different bikes.
