    Lightning Performance....

What do you guru's and alike think of this kit. Its the lightning performance forward control relocation kit. Moves the control 3 inches forward. Any comments? or better suggestions?

Same here, got it and love it. It's perfect for more reach without spending a TON on real forward controls. I'm 6'4" and when I got them I only saw a 3" one but I wish I had a teeny bit more, maybe the 4" but I'm loving the 3 for right now.

2006 Suzuki VStrom 1000 (GREAT deal forced trade)

Love mine. It's the cheap way to get the legs out there if you're over 6 foot. Keeps the pegs out and away vs. the legends which really make you have to reach your feet "back into the bike" so to speak. Highly recommended.
If it ain't broke, I'll fix it till it is.

    Re: Lightning Performance....

is that a shift rod extension or is it a whole new rod? I'm planning on getting a calcustomcruiser shift rod but I also want some more room.

Is there such a kit that offers a 4 inch difference?

Not really. The legends are the only ones and they are 5 inches. The only problem is you pay about $100 per inch!

Whole new rod, the little one is an extension for the other side.

Kit is basic and straight forward.

A while back there were kits on eBay that did different sizes.

Xen, that long one is for the shifter, and that short one I thought was the extension for the shifter? I really don't want to get rid of my shifter sword.

weird....when I bought mine, about a year ago there was only a 3" then about 6 months ago, I saw 3, 4, and 5" ones but now only 3" I don't know, Keep watching Ebay I guess, That's where I saw the different ones.

Just to clarify, you will not be able to use the same shift rod, you have to use the new one in the kit. The small extension is for the brake rod on the right.
