    V-star 1300

I finally saw one and thought to meself that it looks suspisiously close to a warrior... the gas tanks are very similar but the 1300 may be a little bit wider and holds 4.5 gallons of fuel...If someone is chummy with a dealer, you may wanna see if they would pull a tank and check if it will fit the warrior...MIGHT be a fairly cheap way to upgrade fuel capacity...

By using a sub-tank, Ymaha was able to keep the tank from growing too chubby. It holds 4.5 gallons.

But remember FLB, it ain't no cruiser, cause it's water cooled. Anyhow that's some of the rationale around here about why the Vrod is no cruiser, tho all the mags claim it is so.

Tanks are not cheap, at least to me they aren't to me. I think they run in the neighborhood of around $600.00. I can generally run between 130 and 150 miles on the highway on a tank of gas if I ride like I have good sense. I have got as much as 55 miles to a gallon riding the speed limit.

    2007 FJR (still have her)

They're good looking bikes, I think.
I'd own one, but that stock exhaust would be off like a prom dress.

    Re: V-star 1300

I'm resurrecting this old thread to see if anyone has actually investigated putting the tank from a 1300 on to a Warrior.

I was having a look at a 1300 yesterday and the tanks look identical but whether or not it could be fitted I don't know.

    Anyone tried it?

Ah but I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now.

I am re resurrecting this thread because i too saw a 1300 today and noticed how much it looked like a warrior tank......now that warriors are no longer being sold in the US the price of tanks is pretty high

If you are not part of the solution then you are part of the precipitate
