My new and improved Adj. lowering links!

I made the hex turnbuckle 1" shorter so it's a little eaiser to get to the front jam nut and still has the same amount of thread insertion as the ones with the 4" turnbuckle.

Wish I'd seen those before I got my PCS kit. Pain in the butt to install. Glad i only paid 40 beans. I'm doing the tricky this winters mod season. To heck with manual adjusting!
Don't touch that please, your primitive intellect wouldn't understand alloys and compositions and things with... molecular structures.

I would love to do the Tricky too but at $800 it's a little much for me!

I talked to matt at PE and he told me that even with the tricky air kit I would need the lowering kit to keep it from bottoming out, if i'm am wrong about this forgive me,[8)] but I can almost promise that's what I understood in our conservation......call him 330- 633-6777 and ask him for sure , especially if you are gonna do any riding with the rear lowered and have the 240 or 260 kit. MATT if I have quoted this wrong I'm also sorry to you.[:I]...just trying to be helpful

Unless they've redesigned the TAR cylinder (as far as stroke goes), with mine, I have never bottomed out on the OEM 200, Metz 210, Metz 240, Metz 280, and another Metz 240.

I still have mine new in the box w/ a new spring.
I was not able to do the mod, because I was riding the bike 7 days a week.
December will be a good time to do this.

Actually, they did redesign the TAR cylinder. I had an early model that did not bottom out. However, the seals degraded and I found out that the original cylinder design was not rebuildable so I had to buy a whole new TAR cyclinder. Unfortunately, the new cylinder (which is now rebuildable BTW) does bottom out on my bike with no other suspension chances.

I would like to buy one of these adjustable lowering kits to actually raise the point at which TAR is slammed so it does not rest on the tire. This is really more of a safety thing in case an air line blows out. You can still ride rigid if you are not bottoming out (trust me, I had to do it once coming back from Hollister a few years ago). FYI................dave

Dave, as highlighted in your reply, that's where I am now. Thanks for the info on the newer TAR info, but yeah, raising the static height for safety concerns is a plus.

I'm going to be throwing the OEM strut assembly back on, and lower ~3/4" with ram396's new kit. I just wish my bike jack didn't crap out on me.

You paid for your kit on Sat. 11-3-07 and I shipped it on Mon. 11-05-07 I won't have the new kits ready to ship until 11-12-07 so you got one of the first style kits. Sorry if there was any confusion but as you can see I didn't post the new kit info until 11-7-07. The first style kit is still very easy to adjust it's the one I have on my bike and I adj. it up and down all the time.
I also mailed the spacer this morning so you should have it by Saturday at the latest. I'm really sorry about that spacer mix up.
