    ANY one remember Fuscia color of the '90 YZ, what the hell was Yamaha thinking, they should have called it flamer pink

    Per Yamaha website the new 08 warriors have a slightly higher compression ratio

    02-07 was 8.3:1
    08 is listed as 8.36:1

    slight difference of .06:1

    and the seat height was lowered by .6 of an inch....

    Front Fork from 02-07 was a kayaba, 08 is now listed as a KYB....

    02 bikes had CDI ignition, 03-08 bikes are TCI

    Handle bar bend is a little different on the 02-03 compared with the 04+ bike

    can anyone confirm that black pipes only came on the midnight? i bought my 03 liquid silver used and it came with black head pipes. i'm assuming someone along the way swapped out the headers, unless black came with non-midnight models.

    Excellent, POST mike.....(Great replies matthew,i sent you a pm),,.........and JON i know what you mean about the yz 90,I bought my boy one hated the color ,I eventually repainted it ,kris my son seem a little more proud of it after that[:D]

    black pipes only came on the midnight version

    if yours is black, it was either swapped, or more likely painted

    02 indigo,s tank emblems were chrome.04 silver.More chrome ot 02 indigo's than any others.LOL

    '02's tank badges are under the clear coat, every one else can chime in on what other years besides that one. I do know '05 went with the raised emblems.

    2002 Warrior is THE ORIGINAL. All others are factory authorized copies![;)]

    SSS is only on the 2003 models.... If you don't believe me just ask RF_WIZ

    In relation to the front pulleys

    '02-'05 uses locking tab washer 90215-26241-00 or at least if you had the CPU recall work done.

    '06-'07 uses nut # 90179-22006-00
