I agree. when I saw that i said WTF is he doing. almost as stupid as the redskins going for it on 4th and 2 and running the same exact play that they ran on the 4th and 2 on the goal line a few weeks ago that got stuffed that started the whole "Jim zorn cant call plays anymore" thing. sorry sorry this is a Pats threads I just get a little heated

But what about the Skins call on 4th and 20? Hard to find fault with that one!

yeah that was a "we suck and have nothing to lose" play that was great. the other play was a "hey i think we can win this game, this is a good strategic move" ....not

It's the coach's fault they lost but it was Tom Brady who convinced him to go for it on 4th down. Couldn't have happened to a better guy.

Funny thing is that if they had gotten the first down Everyone would be saying "What a Ballsy Call" Eleven Men all paid Huge fortunes to play football with the advanced knowledge of the Play and when the play would take place Couldn't execute the play called and pick up 2 yards. Don't blame the Coach! Blame the lazy azz 11 on the field.

I've been a Patriots fan for over 40 years. I still remember the 1-15 seasons! I liked the call. Just one of those things. If they punted and the Colts drove right down for the winning TD (which they did all quarter) he'd be chastized for not going for it. Remember the punt snap through the endzone on purpose for a safety? They won THAT game so he was a hero! He's a ballzy coach, I like the chances he takes. Makes for good conversation anyway right? LOL. That said, Wes Welker was open on a slant 6 yards down field with a nice pick play by the Ref....way to check down too quick Tom!
