    Motorcycle Rider Education Program

Today I took the first half of the rider education program.  I have ridden bikes on and off for years.  I learned a lot today and I also was reminded of things I had forgotten.  The weather today was a slow steady rain that lasted all day and slacked up just as the class was over for today.  Im not sure how far we rode today but from 10 till 4 we were on the bikes except for an hour lunch and a few breaks.  Class size is only 8 riders with one female that has never rode before.  She is doing very well I must say.  Im looking forward to finishing up the course tomorrow and getting the discount on my insurance too.

What I did learn today was lean angle on wet parking lot surface can be tricky.  I didn't go down but one gentleman did in the corners front end slipped out on him.  He was ok, only pride hurt.  I am having fun and looking forward to riding tomorrow in the rain again.

I went to one of those riding classes once.  No...  wait...  I remember now...  I blasted by one with some friends (some of who just might be on this forum) on our motorcycles while class was in session to give the instructor a "how NOT to ride your motorcycle in public" example.  My wife was in the class.  Boy, was she proud!  Stick out tongueDevil
