    V-Bak Reversal

I have decided to go ahead and do the V-BAK mod on my 06.  This may sound like a strange question to some because the system gets rave reviews but I am curious.  Is their any reason to keep the old parts that are left after the conversion, just in case I wanted to revert back to the old air box?  has anyone wanted, or had reason to do this?

Keep them just in case, you may sell the bike in the future and may need to revert to original spec...
Tomorrow is not promised to anyone..

I've added mine to the collection of bits that have already come off the bike. Can't say that I'll ever need any of them.

    But........you never know.

Same here, the parts are in a box just waiting for the day I decide I don't want the power any longer.  How dumb is that?  I should just toss the stuff.

Well the way I hang onto bikes, this one could be a classic by the time I sell and it would be worth more in stock trim.

    Yes I know I'm dreaming.....but hey.....it could happen!

I'm saving mine since I plan to keep the bike for a long time. Emissions inspections keep coming up in the back of my mind, you know with all this greenwashing stuff being fashionable now.

Parts could be usable for other purposes.  Ya never know when you might need a piece of black plastic to make something.

AMEN!  Wish I could convince my wife of that lil fact.  She is constantly complaining about me being a pack rat.

    Very cleverWink

Thank you for all of your help guy's.  I really need to add on to my garage due to all of my accumulated junk and I was thinking that I would start an uncluttering trend with this project, but,,,,,,, I guess not.

    Re: V-Bak Reversal

Keep it or throw it...its your call, so many people here have done this mod ( as of yesterday me too)that the parts could be reaquired fairly easily and cheaply. I will most likely keep my extra parts, but I don't have a clutter issue cause I sold alot of my other stock stuff... it was building up though, now its time to build it up again. If only we could figure out a way to use the ais pump to act like a turbo/super charger for the bike... like using a chevy smog pump as a turbo on a lawnmower engine ( I cant remember where I saw that concept)

    Re: V-Bak Reversal

I just can't bring myself to throw away any motorcycle parts.  Had fun with some of my old harley parts last year.  All my buds giving me crap about my "jap" bike....... too bad they ALL know what the back end of my Warrior looks like!  Anyway, on one of our long trips, at one of our many stops, I scattered some of my old harley parts under a few of their bikes and watched them inspect for quite a while to figure out where they came from.  All of this to get back at the rice they threw under my bike last year!   One of my v-bak bolts replaced one of my seat bracket bolts that went missing on one of my rides.

I refuse to tiptoe gingerly through life, only to arrive safely at death.
