    Raider

I stand corrected! Man that is one sweet ride!

Nice try, but those Harley's are a dime a dozen. Raiders are more unique and a little quicker, from what I've heard. BTW, this particular Harley would have a better showing against the bone stock Raider in your first post and not the decked out custom Raider above it. Did I mention that the Raider is faster than the Harley?

Not sure about what you mean as "Unique" or a "Dime a Dozen"......My FXDSE2, 110ci is pretty unique as a limited edition. It was pretty quick with the stock 255 cam. I just installed a new Knight Prowler tw-8-6 cam kit that only cost me $390.00 installed. Talk about INSANE power to the pavement. We are talking 125+hp & 130+ftlbs.

Well, good for you! Your Harley is somewhat different than alot of other Harleys. I'm not sure what bikes you're used to seeing in New Hamshire, but here in SE Texas we see alot of "customs" like yours. We have "custom" dealers all over Houston that sell, BBC, Iron Horse, Big Dog, Saxon, Paramount,etc..... Although your bike does look better than most Harleys, I still prefer the Raider posted above. And yes, because you have pretty paint and typical "bolt-on" chrome on your Harley makes it a dime a dozen around here. I see them all of the time.

DS, are your passenger pegs mounted to the swing arm?  It sure looks like it in that pic.

Guys, it's pretty hard to look at a picture and tell what internal mods an engine might have.  Also, if you are going to compare power you really need to do so with stock engines.   $$$ will increase the power in just about any bike and in most cases there will always be someone with a few more bucks invested.

I just love thes threads, and personally don't give a rats ass. It doesn't matter, as long as you ride, and make yours to the way you like it. I have owned pretty much a model from every manufacturer out there, at least pre 1990, 2 wheels and wind in the face is what counts. You can be at 80 cubic inch or 110, you can run a 160 or 300 rear. The air smells the same, the bugs hit you just as hard, and at the end of the day, as long as you have kept the rubber side down, you will be smiling.

Yes, they are mounted to the swingarm......Why would that be a concern? Never put any thought into where passenger pegs should be mounted or not. I would like to hear your thoughts on the mounting location. They work well where they are located comfort wise for passenger.

Don't take me the wrong way. I absolutely love the Raider. I have been a fan since day one. When the day comes to an end all that really matters is that we all share the same passion of riding wither we ride a full blown custom or bone stock.....as mentioned in previous postings of mine I love all motorcycles. I have owned my share of different brands and appreciate each for its own design and individuality.

This topic asked a simple question. Which bike looks better. By far the HD looks better then the picture of the Raider. It does not matter if the HD is a CVO 110ci. and the Raider is bone stock.

It would be nice if Yamaha had a Custom Vehicle line up like Harley Davidson has with their CVO line up. Imagine getting a Warrior with Custom Paint, Performance Speedstar Package, Chrome Rims etc..... sure would like to see the price tag. I bet it would cost just as much as my FXDSE2 Dyna Screamin' Eagle 110ci.

Because the swingarm bounces up and down with the road while the rest of your pillion is happily damped by a shock absorber leaving her feet experience the joy of every piece of gravel on the road.  This can be minimized by mounting the pegs as close to the swingarm pivot as possible, but still.  Do you own a Harley Dyna model?

Maybe so, but you gotta admit the upside down forks are kinda unique. Shame they didn't shield those tubes from bugs and debris.  Guess they figure if you got that kinda jack for a bike you can buy new fork innards from time to time.  Bigger shame is they put all that power out to hard bias-ply rim protectors that were never meant to handle it and leave it with the single disc mediocre braking.  It's as if they want to see their customers get hurt.

Harley's touring line is much better thought out.  Maybe someone from that division needs to visit the croozer side of the house.
