Why the people keep saying that a warrior can beat a vrod??? Even the warrior with some mods is not a match for a vrod in a straight line... The vrod engine is "the sportbike" of the power cruisers and it revs hard. But on twisties, fun factor, handling, braking, price, looks, a couple ride, raw torque... nothing like a Warrior, end of story!

Thats not all neccesarily true as the Vrod Street Rod has mid mount pegs and a ton more ground clearance than the Warrior. Also, because of their under seat gas tank Harley did a great job of making the bike feel extremely light and flickable due to the lower CG.

My father has the aforementioned bike and there is really no contest between bikes either in a straight line or in the twisties. His bike will literally lite the tire up in 2nd gear at 30 miles an hour from a roll on and doesnt drag anything until the bike is well past its usable tread.

    Re: Warrior vs. Raider

Ok I first started this thread to see how the Warrior motor compared to the larger motor of the Raider. Now its about V-ROD, if we are going to compare the V-ROD to japanese muscle bikes then lets throw in the Suzuki M109R it is also rated around the 130 hp mark. If the V-ROD is that great then I suggest you sell your Warrior and go buy one. I promise I'll pull over to help when its broke.

I almost bought one but it felt very heavy especially top heavy. I like my warrior much better and I paid $5000 less.

I dont really understand why everybody has to argue over which is better we all own warriors for one reason or another. If you want a vrod why do you have a warrior. This is a warrior forum so no matter what the warrior is tha badest bike out there when your on this site. We are all love our warriors.

I was simply clearing up a common misconception that most RSW riders have. While our bikes are awesome, they will not own everything else on the road by default. Raider, Vrod, M109.......all have their pros and cons, just like our bikes.

For the record, I love my Warrior.

    +1!

We all have a great eternal machine, unlike the Harleys heeeyy c'mon shut me up Zip it!!!

And regarding the Raider thread, I love the lowriding thing that Warriors are known for, the Raider is more tall and choppy... but for sure they are more comfy than Warriors...

    Re: Warrior vs. Raider

MAN! Thread got so off topic. The dude was comparing the Warrior to the Raider. Now a bunch of people made it a VRod showdown again. If you wanna make this a VRod showdown and stop pirating threads. Start a new one about the Vrod vs the warrior . (Like we haven't seen those before). So far I have seen like 4 or 5 post on this thread about the Raider. People let it go!

    -Z

Just remember if Yamaha really is dumping the warrior in 2010. Then we all have a collectors bikes now...

    Re: Warrior vs. Raider

I recently rode with a local buddy who owns a Raider. Although the Raider is a different bike, for a different purpose, I really like it. It has great style and ergonomics. We didn't race at all, but a few times he really rolled on the throttle. I reciprocated in kind, and kept up quite well. He was very complimentary about my Warrior, saying that it looks good, and that he can't shake me loose. It was a great ride, through great roads. We stopped for lunch and then parted ways.

I'll probably own other bikes, but I won't ever sell my Warrior.

Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his own brow?
