    Re: Warrior vs. Raider

Patrick Racing came out with a BAK for the Raider that is supposed to put it over 100hp. My pops had it installed on his Raider but the weather here hasn't been conducive to riding so I don't know how much it really did on the butt dyno yet.

How much HP does a stock Raider have?  Isn't it like 90 or something like that?  That would be a addition of 10hp with the PR BAK; that would be pretty impressive.

Do you mean 10 hps. Because 100 is wrong verry wrong. I put a barons bak on my warrior and it woke it up.

My bad I read wrong I tought it said it was going to add 100 hp. It all depends on what the stock hp is.

Dyno Charts & Real-World Performance Data

In an effort to quell the debate over which performance parts make a difference and clearly demonstrate the gains acquired through the installation of such accessories, this page is reserved for real-world data from Raider owners who have had their bike tested on a Dynamometer.

If you have taken the plunge and had your bike Dyno-tested, please send us a copy of the final data sheet, along with a list of the performance modifications you have done to your ride, and we'll post them here.

If you have taken your Raider to the drag-strip, and want to share your results, email a copy of your time-slip, and we'll post that here as well.

Star Motorcycles does not publish HP or Torque figures, and results will vary.  To establish a comparative baseline, we'll use the following:

    Motorcycle.com - 80 HP, 105 ft-lbs.

    CycleWorld - 85.9 HP, 106.3 ft-lbs.

Nice job! Do you have something like that for the Warriors?

    Re: Warrior vs. Raider

No I don't. I copied and pasted from there website. There is 5 or 6 more but they will not fit and cannot be copied individually. I believe the Raider with the PR intake or similar and a good 2-1 such as the V&H Big Radius should produce around 100hp and 115-120tq. The bikes that have the PR intake, 2-1 pipe, and pc111 seem to make power all the way to the 5200rpm rev limiter. This means that not only does the Raider have a bigger engine but better performing cams and possibly heads from the factory. If the Raider had the same gearing as a Warrior in my opinion it wouldn't even be close, Raider wins.

man for such large motor those raider hp numbers kind of suck, i thought they would have been higher.   nice torque for off the line though

    Re: Warrior vs. Raider

With a 5200rpm redline I wouldn't be to concerned with the hp it will never be a huge number. The engine stroke is more then 4 1/2 inches so high rpms is probably not a good idea without some crank and rod work.

Toss some HC pistons in there and the torque would be wicked nice!

I've ridden with a vrod and a raider and it's all about the rider.  My year experience over both the guys I rode with counted on the road.

Saying that, I'd own a vrod, but not a raider. The raider is pretty much useless on the twisties, which come on, is way more fun than just a straight line.

im with you there ,doesnt matter how fast the bike is for the straight away ,because most all straight aways end up at a turn in this area of the country. that being said fast bike in the straights and fast bike in the turns ,a very nice balance the warrior is . btk572

    Re: Warrior vs. Raider

I know the Raider has a bigger motor but it is not tuned as well as the Warrior (thats what the guy at Yam said) I don't know much about the Raider I am not interested at all in that bike. You can't really compare a VRod to a Warrior. VRods are water cooled and can run much higher compression so off the showroom floor they have 120HP. Line that hunk os *** up next to a VMax...That would not even be a race!  Have you ever ridden a VRod? It is the most unbalanced bike I have ever ridden! It does rev and go pretty good but I am not interested in a VRod or racing my Warrior. If I wanted a fast bike I would have kept my rocket. I was just about to order some JE Pistons for my bike then I came to my sences...what for? I need to gain some in the rear...240 Baby!! YEAH!!

No Kidding....113ci and those kind of numbers are a bit disappointing.
