    VBAK Fitted

Had the day off today so decided to have a go at the BAK and relocation plate.

Checked I had everything and had a quick look at the instructions supplied.

It wasn't hard, but it's far from easy.

Tank off and ready to pull the lungs out.

Air box out, ready to relocate the coils, sensors and wiring.

Eveything in place. It's a tight squeeze. The bike fired up straight away.

This is what you end up with. I did the AIS block off some time ago, so anyone doing that as well will have more junk.

I'm going to try some members maps off here for the PC3, but a run on the dyno is planned.

Very neat job there Nick, well done.     Yes        Me next with Churchkeys VBak. Once I get my bike back from the garage i'm going to order the kit from him.

Think I'll stick to getting the PC111 as opposed to the PCV, seems to be a lot more info for it.

Bet you can't wait to give her a blast eh Nick ????

Yeah I did mne about a month ago there is nothing hard about it just alot of moving thing into tight places. I love the way the motor sounds when you lay into it. I felt a noticeable difference in power.

I'm off again tomorrow so a bit of testing is on the cards, as long as it doesn't rain...

    Gav,

I got stung £30 import tax on mine. Seems C&E are getting wise to people ordering bits from the States.

'STUNG' being the operative word here Nick. BIG SCAM. Where is this money going to that they rob from us and why does Parcel Force

have to gain more as well when you have already paid full postage to the sender ???

Weathers to be good tomorrow in the west.  Yes

Congrats on the install- interesting noises under that tank huh? I'm not sure how different your petrol is from ours but try AMOSPRO's modified map. I thought mine had been running good until I tried this one.....WOOHOO! Give it a shot.

I was thinking about doing the BAK mod to my 06 this off season.  What is the cost?  How is the sound different after the mod?  Is the main reason to do the mod increase in power?  Is there a difference between BAK's, I hear a lot of guy talk about Chrurchkey V-BAK.  Is the AIS blockoff a must?

I know there is a lot of questions there.  Answering any of them would help.

    Gav,

Big Smile definately more ponies.. Slow speed roll-on is a little lumpy.

Highspeed 80-120mph (private road test conditions Stick out tongue) is smooth and quick.

Weather wasn't too good so it's still early days.

I'm going to book it in for a dyno tune next week. It will be going to the same place that did it last year so I should be able to judge the results accurately.

I'll post the figures when I get them.

Need to do the dry break mod now so I can look at alternatives for the side covers. Might put some bell mouths on the right and convert my speed* air box from the right to fit the left....

Good job mate, I loved the sounds it made after I did mine :)

If you manage to source the parts needed for the ferracci dry break please let me know mate as I would love to do that mod too :)
