Really nice ride for your first go at it and with your setup!  Yes  How did your other runs go before that one?  Thanks for sharing, does anyone else have videos or times?  I want to make one of these some day.

There you go Bladerunr, it's youtube : xxxx in brackets with the "xxxx" being everything after the = in the URL.  No spaces.

I started out in the low 13's but was spinning the tire and hitting rev limiter in 1st and second with a 3000rpm launch. Once I settled down from the adrenilan high and launched a 2000 rpm I was consistantly in the high 12.2 thru low 12.4. It's just hard to shift to second before you hit rev limiter with forward controls, the launch and 1st to 2nd is were you need to be consistant. And thats were I'll concentrate next time. Check the Vmax site for video's. Oliver may put some on this site, but they were concentrating on the Vmaxes.

i recant , looked at the slip wrong and i have to say sorry if i offended you in any way , some tracks are just doing 1000 feet so the program is smoother and quicker .  and as i said before that is real good times for a stocker . there was a guy on here that took his bike in to have hc pistons installed and found out it already had the hc pistons from the factory ,maybe thats why yours is pulling some real good times even with the 240 rear. cant say but your bike for being very low on mods is responding well to the fast lane . good job btk572

that is amazing for times considering there are warriors around here that go 12.25 + - and they are 108 ci and only have 200 rears on them and about a 250 lb rider. i would like to know more about the set up you have ,because the stock bike best for the sales specs aint even close to that and the pipe doesnt do that much to bring the numbers down to that level, and your doing a 240 rear and stock gearing? rider aint the word for it . let us know more, btk572

    Well,

Lets see..... It's a 2006, it's got the mini fairing(which I think helps for top speed and drag in general), I originally installed the Baron's big air kit(which was nice because it came with the coil relocation plate) but didn't like the air cleaners because the didn't fit well and would occasionally pop off the throttle bodies. I then replaced the baron's air cleaner set up with the Patrick racing air kit ,which has bigger aircleaner and velocity stacks. I started with the Muzzy's dragstyle pipes (similar to bigshots) but there was a slight cornering clearance issue with the front header. I got the Propipe which I was running. I had a custom map done by FXtune, a person I know and respect for his tuning ability, plus the dyno had an eddy brake which is important for loading the motor and getting accurate settings. The 240 was welded by Kosman, I did the swingarm clearance myself. The bike has always run strong but I haven't been into the engine yet. I'm very tempted to go 110ci and do some head work, just don't have the extra cash. I too was surprised that I could get to the lower 12 second area reading posts from the forum. I have been riding all my life, and from racing in the dirt I know how to get off a starting line ( although pavement at the strip is different animal). All I can say is it was a rush and I'm not lying about the motor, its stock internally.

If this worked here's a picture of the time slip, it didn't come out that well.

    reaction:.307 , I1:1.760, I2:4.937, I3:7.668, MPH(I3):89.071, I4:10.061 , ET:12.140 , MPH:108.642   I'm not sure what the distances are for I1 thru 4. Maybe I3 is 1/8th mile. If someone knows those I would like to know, thanks.

    That awsome nice run

No offense taken, I was jazzed at the low times. I must say there are more ways to screw up a time than to consistently run low. I was really like a fish out of water at first and just was really having fun just concentrating on getting off the line. I would like next time to spend more time concentrating on getting down a consistant routine and then fine tuning portions. I can't wait to go again, I'm hooked.

And that would be a surprise to find hi comp. in my bike, but I bought it new off the Yam showroom floor in 06, so unless they installed them at the factory, not likely. But you do know red is the fastestWink

the hc pistons were found in another warrior from the factory, never been apart and it was new i believe also ,i cant remember for sure but i think it was around the same year possibly. does your seem to run better then the typical other stock warriors that you may ride with ? its all possible in this day and age. btk572

    Re: Going Drag Racing

I suppose it's possible, I'll put it this way, it's not noticeably faster, I does seem to have good top end. I've ridden in groups of warriors on some of our west coast rides and went we get in the open and everone gets on it,we all seem to pull about the same it's just a matter of who get on it sooner, all though at the top mine seems a little faster, I have hit 130 mph with the 33th pulley and the 18 x 240 wheel. I haven't really run side by side with a modded motor. With all that being said I run regular gas with no pinging problems even in Sacramento's 110 deg. summers.
