I've heard that Zox is on the lower end of helmets, but my KBC Modular rocks!

I wouldn't go riding at highway speeds with the face lifted up though...

I ride in a full face Arai Astral (now Profile) and can raise up my visor and ride at any speed below about 70.  I do have a mini fairing that blocks a lot of the wind off my chest though. I ride a lot around town with the visor up, just another option.

I know the voices aren't real, but they do have some good ideas.

I want to die while asleep like my grandfather, not screaming in terror like the passengers in his car.

Modulars are pretty nice but I tihnk a bit over engineered. I've had alot of experience with them here in the north (mainly with snomachines) but I ride with an ICON mainframe full face and I recomend you check em out, they offer a nice flat black model if you rock a midnight around and they have some excellent ventilation not to mention the visor has solid adjustments so you can raise it two click, half way, or all the way and hit high rates of speed and it doesnt budge. Plus its one of the only helmets I've ever encountered that has a high resistance to fogging, which is a huge problem up here round this time of year. Man, I should do P.R. for Icon.

    what does it mean signature?

Searching for a good helmet that has a good veltilation system, comfy and light came to conclusion for this helmet, Bell Star

     Bell Star Helmet

Also to mention, it looks VEERY GOOD on midnight warriors, this one is flat black but there is another version that is gloss black. If you plan to buy this helmet it does vent like no other, it maintains your head fresh and no need to take off your helmet to breathe like others and remember... it all depends of your riding style... if you cruise you may use a half helmet but if you like torquei'n in twisties or riding hard you may switch to a full face indeed.

I put my modular helmet away and use it as a spare. its an old HJC but I didnt like the noise, weight or size. Plus it looks kinda goofy when its flipped up. There are some advantages but its just not for me.

Instead, I payed about $220 for this scorpion http://www.motorcyclegiant.com/Scorpion-EXO-700-Burst-Full-Face-Helmet-p/01-025-24s.htm soon to be discontinued. You can pick on up for $150 now (maybe less if you shop around).

+1 on Zox being a lower quality. If I remember correctly they are made by AFX

If you want a modular the scorpion exo-900. It is the 3 in 1 helmet system. Full face/modular/ 3/4. The nice thing is the field of view is not reduced by being a modular helmet like some of the other brands. My modular with was a cheapy had the smallest window of visability

I have had a scorpion full face and it was a great helmet and I plan on buying another. I also have a Sparx made by KBC. I needed a helmet in a pinch and has been a really good helmet as well. Nowhere near the quality of the scorpion.

Just remember if Yamaha really is dumping the warrior in 2010. Then we all have a collectors bikes now...

This one was accually my 2nd choice originally but I read on a few threads on other 4ms that weren't very happy with them but now I'm reconsidering it def looks a little better than the zox I've also checked out some bells and arai ($$$$$$$) don't get me wrong I'm not opposedto spending the cash on a good helmet just don't want to drop the cash on something that I won't wear if I can't seem to get used to it. Thanks for all the replys I'll take them under advisement!

I'm not trying to threadjack you man but I have been seriously considering moving to a full face as well. I have always wore half helmets. I really like the look of this Bell Star in the Gloss Black. Who has the lowest price on them?

I have an older HJC Symax modular that has been great!  All modulars will be relatively heavy though compared to the full face...

I also bought my Caberg Trip Modular from overseas:

But my latest full face helmet is a Joe Rocket 101 Carbon Fiber Transtone.  I wear this one when I ride Sookie...It is essentially the HJC FS-15 Carbon Fiber for half the price!  It can also accept the pinlock anti-fog shield system.  It weighs in at 3 lbs stated, but mine weighs a tad less (mine is a size L, perhaps they spec'd an XL?).  Great fit, confort, and no fogging issues so far!

I forgot to ask what size you wear...?

I too get a bit uneasy in a full face. Over time I have been getting more comfortable. But I still have a half, a 3/4, and a full face for depending on the ride.

    The EXO-200 is pretty sweet!

Plus I found them for pretty cheap if your interested. They are snell/dot. PLEASE do not let this trigger a Snell vs Dot debate. I am just saying in case he has a preference

They are $400.00 on there now. Good Lord. I wish I would have bought when you did.

the best source for helmet information I've come across is http://www.webbikeworld.com/.  In my quest for the perfect helmet I've bought three based on the recomedation from this site.  They are spot on.  If they say the helmet is noisy, it will be noisy; if they say the helmet has good visibility, it will have good visibility, etc.

My next helmet is going to be this one, you might find it particularly intersting: http://www.webbikeworld.com/r2/motorcycle-helmet/nolan-n43/
