    Howdy!

Proud new Warrior owner. Been wanting one for years, and made it happen today. Great site...hope I can contribute at some point.

    Like the paint!  Welcome. Beer

New Rule- Nothing new goes on the bike...unless its Black!

**Yamaha has "officially" denied that the Midnight Warrior is equipped with a superior engine to the other colors, but that's because the lawyers told em' to say that.**

     Thanks guys.

The paint job is what made me jump. I wanted one of two bikes: a Midnight or the custom yellow.

Welcome!  I've always liked that '70's bumblebee racing paint.  I remember maybe two members who did this paint to their bikes in the last few years, I can't remember who they are.  You probably bought the bike used, from a dealer it sounds like, so you probably don't know who the prior owner was.  I'm wondering is this is one of those bikes, or a third Yamaha racing legacy paint job!

I actually bought this from an individual (practically stole it). I was thinking the paint was one of those "factory custom" options like the blue/black flames we could order on the 2009s. I could be wrong though :)

That was never a factory option. That is a custom paint job. Looks good, I have seen one painted that way in Oklahoma City once.

You should ask the prior owner if he was a member here.  If he was there might be a user Gallery page showing the mods to the bike that you would find handy to know about!  The paint is custom, and very recognizable, but rare on Warriors so its cool.
