I am not to far from Lake Travis (about 70miles) but am busy for the next 2 weekends but after that I will see what I can do. I know quite a few of the seasoned riders in the area and will talk with them as well about any good places for this kind of event.

So let me get this straight... Arkansas is out because it would interfere with a ride that isn't posted because the guy that did it last year sold his Warrior?

     LOL....

i wouldn't say WOZARK is out next year. It is some pretty good riding up there in my opinion and is a cool little hippie town.LOL It would be alot more fun if more people showed up next year. Last year it was me, my Dad, Warriordog (David), 1Warlock and wife ( Bill & Carol), and Centerline (Steve). We had a good time but we rode in the rain all week and I didn't own any rain gear at the time so I rode wet.LOL

If we are  going to do it there we might should do it in the fall. It was a good idea to have it the week after Warriorfest so everyone could just come over after they left the dragon, but I think people were wore out by the end of Warriorfest and bowed out. Maybe having it as a totally different event would draw more people. Ecspecially since there isn't much going on in the fall. I bet it is beautifull there when the trees start turning. I think David will agree that we could do without the trees spewing thier sex powder all over my bike all week like they did last spring.LOL I still am not oppose to just combining this idea with the already standing WOZARK. It is 6 of one half a dozen of the other to me. Eureka Springs isn't that far for the Texas guys to come.  There are tons of restaurants there and some good places to stay. I think we can do better than where everyone stayed last year but it wasn't that bad.

If things don't change a bunch Lake Travis won't be worth a damn.  I just saw on TV the drought is so bad the lake is only 40% full and loosing approx 1 foot of depth per week.  Can you say dry and dusty?  Hopefully things will change by next year but don't hold your breath.

Living outside of Dallas in 2006 we had such a bad drought that a lake down the rode from us in Wylie was so dried up that if you went to a boat ramp you would of had to go another 500-700 more yards to hit the water.  One particular are that we fished was typically about 60 ft deep with underwater structure about 20 ft down, well you could finally see the structure and they were dead trees that now just had about a foot of water on them.  The drought in South Central Texas is looking to be a worse drought than we went through.  It got so bad that where the grass and dirt met the driveway, my girlfriends daughter stepped in it and broke her leg.

I lived just 40 miles west of there in sweetwater and in aug 07 I walked across the main part of the lake then 2 days later the lake was filled by 1 rain storm in les than 12 hours. That was a crazy day. The rains will come back to centex soon enough just yall wait.........(I hope)

We had 3 couples do a ride in Eureka Springs on June 7th this year it was great weather 85 or so during the day and 60's at night. Lots of good routes to ride up in missouri through the Mark Twain National Forest. Plus you can just bar hop by walking around Eureka at night no need for motorized transportation. We are looking to make this an annual event, it was a blast.
