 Just wanted to let all you New Yorkers know that there will be an all motorcycle/snowmobile drag race shootout this weekend, Sunday at NYIRP.  The track is a 1/4 mile setup and is pretty good shape.  I have been for the past 5 or more years and has had over 200 bikes at it in years past.  They have Sport class, V-Twin, pro and a few others.  It is a good time.  If it raind they may not have it so keep an eye on the website i have posted on here.  Maybe I will see  you there.  I'll be on the Indigo '06 Warrior.

I'd like to know how the snow machines do.  I know there are some really quick ones out there.

 I have seen as fast as 150mph, not sure on the times.  I will let you know.  they are crazy fast, and loud as heck.

I can remember back when the unlimited class, back then anything over 500cc, saw a few guys running 883 Harley engines.  Those guys were kickin butt!  Now, a stock 500 would whip up on them bad.  Love sleds.  They're more fun than bikes.

 Some of the guys I work with have the$10k sleds and I just can't  see myself spending that much on one.  All the regulations they put on them here in NY are outrageous, speed limit of 55mph with a sled that has over 150hp, common people!!!  Get Real!!  Plus the cost to register and insure cost more than all my bikes together.   I would not mind owning one but not here in NY.  the government is just taking the fun right out of it and a lot of other things as well.

I like steep and deep so HP and light weight is a must.  55 mph?  That's just crazy.  I would hate that.  Up in the mountains where I like to ride there are no speed limits.  There aren't any anywhere in the state I am aware of.   Ski Do has hit a 3:1 ratio, pounds:HP, for 2010.  Back in the 60s it wasn't considered a true muscle car unless it was 10:1 or better.  Sleds are so much fun!

 Saw some sleds go in the  low 9's today, crazy how fast them things are. As far as my Warrior goes, I took my '06 down the track beat up on a V-rod a few times and beat him every time.  I was consistant with 12.35 @ 107mph, not bad for bein just a hopped up 102, street tire, and no air shiffter.  Had a good turn out even though it rained on us for a while, that sucked  But all in all it was a fun day at the track, had the front end up in the air about a foot a couple times I was the only Warrior there, not sure why no one else ever goes to the track.

 Have both just not sure if I can post because of the file size.  you know how to post the vids off a digital vid camera?  I need to get my azz into being a member of this forum as well.  That may be a problem with posting things if i am not correct??  I am loading the pics right now. They are in 8 meg RAW format so I have to size them up for sure.  I will take a pic of a couple time slips as well, the ones with me going against the V-Rod..ha ha ha
