    Someone up there likes me

Went for a ride around mid Wales Sunday with my nephew on his R1 and his two mates also on R1's. Sean my nephew can ride the wheels off his bike, not so his mates who struggle to keep with me through the twisties on my X11. Anyway I'm in front really cracking on trying to put as much distance between them and me ( the road that we where riding on is a "B" road and is fairly remote not much traffic).I was marvling to myself how good the X11 is and how this 66 year old git can still keep off three young blokes on R1's. I was cranked right over taking a left hand bend at around 80 when the rear end started to come round, *** me, I throttled of and the bike corrected itself,( must be gravel and sand on the road )This happened another four times so I decided to slow down a bit as I did not have any spare underware. We stopped at the Cross Roads Cafe near Llandridnod Wells, Sean pointed to my rear wheel and said whats all that shite over your back tyre,The back tyre and swinging arm and exhausts where covered in a white substance. It turned out that the can of Tyre Weld that I carry under my seat had some how exploded covering everything in a white sticky goo and dripping down onto my tyre, hence my big slides...could have been much worse ....

For sure someone up there likes you.  That could have been one of those life ending experiences.  Sounds like lots of fun though!

There's nothing on that Honda X11 - or any bike I know - that is hot enough to explode a can of tire goo.  Well, unless you store the goo on your motor or exhaust pipe!  j/k.  Seriously, did something pierce the can somehow?  Hopefully you are the only guy on the planet unlucky enough to ever have this happen Beer just think how much more you'd have outrun the kids otherwise.

That's so funny to a Warrior rider. I can't fit one of those airplane booze bottles under my seat!

But then again, maybe I'm lucky. I'd hate to have my scotch sprayed all over my fender, swing arm and tire! LOL

If you don't like the way I drive, stay off the sidewalk!

What I think happened is that earlier on that day I had removed the seat to clean my bike and the can had moved forward and when I put the seat back on the can was trapped between the seat and the subframe causing it to puncture later that day..

That sux big time.  Now to clean the goo off the bike.  Try tequila shots.  Not on the bike.  In your throat.  It'll make the scrub-up feel better. Cool
