tech. i used a pop up flush cap and left the existing vents in place. the two nipples under the tank on the left front are connected to where the stock cap bolts to. there is no need to cut that out when putting in the pop up cap as the pop up is much smaller in diameter. this retains the factory venting. as for the tank stretch......its all personal taste. bms first tank looked much nicer than their second attempt. my 2ct . U will always have "knees" when the metal is in the raw, once licked from front to back and top to bottom, it will all blend, making one smooth flowing line. yes the entire tank will be licked with plastic, its the only way unless your jesse james. your tank now has a funny shape just above the '' knees'', sorta sinks in. a good body man can make it work. a think your first bms tank is done that way because its a bit shorter than the bike posted in the pics. the stretch you have now is going to significantly push you back in terms of seating position. Next up, you are going to want to make your own seat pan out of fibreglass, this will insure a perfect fit. its easy, i can help talk you through it. as for the covering, paul cox is your man, hes in brooklyn ny. he does all the top chopper guys in the country. and hes very reasonable. I know all of this because i have built my warrior myself, including stretching the tank. i also closed the front of the tank to make it tighter to the frame. I actually just finished the bike, took two years to complete and was built entirely from my wheel chair. i was waiting to post pics till i got my seat back, but i will put up pics so you can see all the details.
