Yep, just as I thought Loren, they have fabricated the sides.

Teck, I truly believe it is the same as yours. The painter will put a thin coat of mud on it to smooth out the lines and when you get it on the bike with the custom seat butted up to it it will look just like the one pictured.  I think the tribal graphics on the bike just camoflage it and makes the point look smoother. I have seen other Warrior tanks stretched by BMS and they all look just like this.

Ya Brandon, I think you are right. I will ask Jared what exactly they did to the Tribal Fusion tank, if they worked some extra fiberglass or shaved a little more the metal on the sides or just left it like it is now. Another comparaison, side by side:

Gav, what do you use to make those perfect curved lines into the pictures? Is it Photoshop? Pretty cool, let me know.

A Canadian drawing program...............Corel Draw Loren.......   Yes   it's the best   Cool

I believe they are the exact same.

I have to 'beg to differ' here Brandon..... and It's very dangerous puting fibreglass or heavy filler on these edges. They'll just crack.

That's the best I can do with the seat shape Loren. I'd be happy with that.

do your home work on redcoat it is a professional quality coating used by most professional radiator and tank repair shops. its not the bullsh1t cream junk that is all over the place and used with just about no success that i have ever heard of . i have used the red coat for many years and never had the thing of finding it breaking down or comming loose ,especially on a nice newer tank. i would stand behind its use if the directions are followed it will be unbelievable in it ability to do its job. old tanks that people dont get clean and are full of rust and they really should have been cut in half and cleaned sand blasted and rewelded back together to do the job correctly, in this case nothing would have worked.  do as you will but when people say dont ever cut and weld a tank it will never be right ,the tank was welded in the first place , there is no reason it cant be cut ,welded in any shape you want ,you just shouldnt do it with a cheap 110 mig welder, the less you have to grind the better the job and the less time in the job. i see the 2 knees in the sides of the tank that you dont like and that is not on the bms pictured tank, and the bms tank looks to have a little more radius in the top and bottom lines of the shell, and definately has straight sides .i like this little tid bit ,screw follow...lead. cya btk572

I think that we can shave the sides a little, in that area. A sheet of metal was applied on top of the tank so they can shave that off on both sides and it should remove some of the pronounced curve we see in the picture. I have to ask Jared what exactly they did on the Fusion tank. Tomorrow, I will will have and post all answers from BMS.

Reference to the 2 knees on the sides:

By the way Teck, incase I didn't say so earlier, that tank is going to be BIG PIMPIN'. Can't wait to see it on your bike with the custom seat. I expect a full review of the riding position when you get your bike back together.

I talked to Jared on the phone today. He confirmed that the tank on the Fusion bike was done the same way as mines. However, he said the body guy they have did some extra shaving and modifications to make it look nicely rounded like in the original picture. He said he will call him and find out what exactly was done to the tank. Also, he confirmed that the sealant used (if needed) is Red-Kote. Tomorrow, I will have more details.

I would say you won't have much to worry about Teck.  As custom as you are going with your bike, you don't REALLY want it to look like the other bike in the pic do you?  I think it is going to be one wicked sexy horse when it is done.

You are right. However, I really want that perfect teardrop shape you see on the Fusion bike. I might contract the body guy BMS uses, to shape that tank perfectly. The bike will look totally different, because the custom work done on the rear and front fenders also. The theme is: everything pointed, covered by blue fire paint. Check my signature for details how the build is going. I'm a little slow because the cash flow is slow...

Re: Stretched gas tank for Warrior?

Things are getting better, it is a miracle! I talked to Jared again today. He said that they will fix the 2 knees (that stick outside) at no extra cost and make sure that the tank will be identical to the Tribal Fusion one. For $200 extra, they can prep the tank to be paint ready. Before they will prep the tank, they will send me pictures to make sure I'm happy with the corrected raw metal shape.

Honestly, I'm really impressed. I think BMS tries to give me extra service in order to compensate for the issues I had with their struts. Personally, I think it is a good deal, the tank prep. You have to remove all paint and then cover all imperfections, a lot of work.

That's gonna be really nice when finished can't wait to see it.  The bike you have the stretch modled after was one of the bikes that fixated me on a warrior.

Some updates, guys. BMS corrected the 2 knees. It looks fantastic.
They sent the tank to be prepped for paint... it looks like the guys are having fun there, heh.
