    Pirelli Diablo 240 tire

Ok , either I need to be on a Track or Pirelli needs to build better tires.   This tire may rival the Metz. 210 for low mileage. I know that the bike had over 32k on it when I went to the Dragon in April. and as usual I wore out my tire in about three days. So off to Wheelers I go and Mount a new Pirelli Diablo on  Wednesday or thursday . Well now I have 35,410 miles and that sorry azz tire is Bald at least on the left side anyawayAngry . Yes I do lean harder to the left due to the pipes on the right side but DAMNIT 3000 mile out of a 240 tire Devil   Three months on a tire and most of our riddin now is tame  and lame  SHIZER a new 240 on the wayAngry  Kris hows yours holding up?

YUP, it's a POS if you're looking for high mileage but it does handle great in the twisties IMO. I paid $156.85 Landed + $26.00 to mount and got 3,828 miles which is less than 1/2 the mileage that i got on the Metzeler 240/40 Sad .... the wear of the soft composition was quite visual on the outer perimeter of the tread when riding the twisties and resembled fine shavings from 120 grit sandpaper Hmm

Although the price is right, fit & visual quality is superb on the 8 1/2" rim and to boot
Pirelli owns Metzler, the composition is way to soft and you'll go through the tread quickly!
I don't recommend this New Pirelli Diablo - 240/40ZR18 spend the xtra for the Metzler [;)]

I've the same tire on my Carrozzeria wheel and so far I have 9000 kms on it...5500 miles, since it was installed in May of last year. Although there is the flat spot in the center, I can see a thousand or more kms on it. I am buying a new one, but only because of the road trip I have planned for the end of next month...

Maybe you got a bad compound or one from a bad batch?
