Cobra Stand-Alone Luggage Rack (Formed) #02-4262

Cobra Stand-Alone Luggage Rack (Formed) #02-4262

This stand alone rack for the Warrior is an all new item. It's designed to work without a backrest. Fabricated from solid plate steel that has been laser-cut and formed then polished and chromed to its mirror-like finish. It will not work with the Cobra Sissy Bar.
    SKU : 02-4262
    Price: $139.95

Has anyone got this accessory yet? It looks really good, and would solve the storage problem when riding 2-up. I'm looking for any reviews, and for locations to buy it at a discounted price.

    Thanks!

The website says it only fits the 2002-2003 Warrior. Seems like a nice item otherwise.

Holy Crap! I was lookin around a bit to see if I could find it cheaper. And I found that they are offering that CWI backrest that I've been wanting....... in black!.....for $227! I thought I was gonna have to buy the chrome one for $241 and pay to have it powdercoated. I'm excited!

I e-mailed Cobra about this. They say #02-4262 is indeed only for the 2002-2003 model but that they have a new version coming out (#02-4263) for the 2004-2009 models, which "will not be available until the end of September or first part of October" to quote his reply.

I would just like to know if anyone here has purchased one and what they think of it.  Does it mount to the rear seat mount location as well as on the fender stays?  I am just wondering why one model would not fit all years?

I am thinking it might have something to do with the seat on the 02-03 versus 04-09. Not sure just a guess OldMan.

I have this rack on my 03. It mounts on the fender stays, I would imagine the seats on the newer models are keeping it from mounting. Other than that I don't see why it would not work. Its not as convienent as a sissy bar bag but I didn't want to mount a backrest, thats why I went this route. It looks pretty good as well.

well, even when cobra said that it will fit with any seat, it doesnt fit with the corbin dual tourer.

i may return it tomorrow, or decide if modify it.

seems that make an extension and chrome it, to make it fit will be around $50.... i maybe doing that next week...

here in the pics you can see how it wont fit with the corbin dual tourer (even when cobra says that it would fit with any seat in the market.... i guess they dont think that corbin is a competitor)

picaflor .... sorry to see that the earlier Cobra bar 02-4262 doesn't fit properly on your '02' but it doesn't surprise me being that you're using the Corbin DT.

I would suggest you return the rack and exchange for the later Cobra P/N # 02-4263 which should resolve the interference IMO.
