    what can be done

I have an 02 warrior and am wanting to know what are the best opinions for producing HP and Torque.  My goal is to squeeze 100 HP out of this bike and what ever torque comes along with that.  I have a pcIII, samson shortys, and K&N filters for now ,I am going to get the V-bak and a 31 tooth front pully asap.  What is your guys opinion about big bore kits?  I have heard stories that pull in each direction as far as good and bad.

    Re: what can be done

Either the 108 or 110 kits with cams and head work will get you what you want plus some.  They are quality kits, I don't know of anything negative about either.

The Lesbians living next door gave me a Timex. I think they misunderstood when I said " I wanna watch. "

If you do the Speedstar Stage IV Kit, you should reach up to 100 HP. It will probably be cheaper to get the parts separately from various dealers, to complete the kit. I would definately think about a 2-1 pipe for the power, if that's what you're after. If you're doing the VBAK, you won't need the velocity stacks or the side cover kits from the Yamaha package.

You'll definately want the HC pistons, Cams, Springs, Gaskets, Pipes and ECU from the kit. I have heard that the fuel injectors aren't necessary. The clutch spring could be useful.

The 31T pulley won't increase your HP. It will just feel like it does!

I know that you want 100 hp power but I just thought I would add that you can hit the high 80's low 90's with hc pistons, k&n filter kit (woody makes a kit that is really great) propipe and Pc3. I have all that and my bike makes 91 hp. I forgot to mention that mind is the super fast indigo 02 so don't expect the same result on one of the lesser bikes. Smile

I hear ya about the whole indigo deal.  Just a quick question give me one fact that why an 02 indigo would be faster than a 02 rs warrior (just curious what your response will be)  and besides mine is Black so do I need to say anymore Cool.  I have everything on my bike except the Pistions.  Did you have to take the bike somewhere to get the pistons put in or did you do it your self and if so how hard was it.

    Re: what can be done

Pistons can be done at home by someone with average mechanical ability.  It's time consuming, but not hard.

Pistons alone will not get you even close to 100hp. if you want a solid 100+ hp have a look at my Warrior Description. That is what you have to do. End of Story.....

I had 2 full stage IV equipped Warriors. They both ran well and strong. Neither one of them hit 100 hp, not even with a STD reading Dyno (STD dynos read about 3% higher than SAE dyno #'s) Best I got was about 96 RWHP. You need to port those heads or add some more cubes.

    •  Here is an old post about hp prices are proabably not the same

By popular request here's a break down on the stuff we do/sell and what kind of performance you should be able to expect with each. Note I have pretty much listed these things in the order that we suggest you buy them in, as you can do little bits (stages) at a time as $$ or your wife dictates.

    Stage 1
    Pro-pipe $449 (others availale too)
    Power Commander $329
    Orient Express Intake Kit-$179
----Expect about 10hp over your bikes stock rating.

    Stage 2
    97mm Orient Express/JE High Compression 10.25:1 Pistons-SALE $299
----Expect about an additional 14-16hp over stock with stage 1

    Stage 3
100mm Orient Express/JE Bog Bore High Compression 10.25:1 Piston and Cylinder Kit-$800* (Also now available in 11:1 and 12:1 compression ratios.)
----Expect 17-20 hp over stock with stage 1

    Stage 4
Orient Express Warrior Cam Kit (high lift long duration cams, ceramic lifters, 4130 Chromoly adjustable push rods, matched hi-performance valve springs)-$925*
Orient Express Ported Rear Exhaust Manifold-$110*
----Expect 29-32 hp over stock with stage 1 and 3

    Stage 5
Orient Express Big Valve Fully Ported Heads-Fully ported heads with oversized valves, Serdi competition valve job, flow bench tested-$1400* When purchased at the same time as the Cam Kit the valve springs from stage 4 are installed.
----Expect a 38-40 hp increase with stage 1,3 and 4

    Stage 6
Orient Express Big Bore Throttle Bodies-$450*
----Expect a 42-44 hp gain over stock

We also offer Warrior Specific Nitrous Kits-From $1214.15*
----Expect a 35hp increase over whatever stage you choose.

Additionally we will be offering a Warrior Turbo Kit available in two stages from about $4600.
----We expect to be able to double your horsepower on a street driven bike, more on a race bike.

Other options available (Chain drives, custom pistons, internal engine mods, please call for consultation on these)

    * Items require exchanges or refundable core deposits at time of sale. Being that we are so busy because of the recall I suggest you work with your dealer to do exchanges rather than waiting on other people to send thier cores in.

As always I suggest you have you servicing dealer call up OE and order the parts so we can work together on scheduling arrival of parts with the recall work that'll be done on your bike. Currently we are signing up between 5 and 10 Yamaha dealers a day. If you want here's a link to our dealer app you could even bring it in to them to make it that much easier to get started.

Please don't consider this an invitation to sign yourself up as an OE dealer, we're pretty thourough on our requirements to become a dealer. On the other hand your Yamaha dealer is virtually already approved we just need the info to get them into the system with an account number.
