I made it home last night, at around 7:45. I stopped for gas and a bite at the CROT before I rolled out so it took 11 hours. It poured on I-40E. If I hadn't had my rain gear, I would have wasted another day at a campground somewhere drying out. Here are some pics:

Yeah, I'm really pushing to plan ahead so that I can come. I want to thank you all for making me feel welcome, and teaching me how to ride better. I appreciated everyone's patience and hopefully I improved as time went on. David especially, took time to talk to me and give me advice. Bill Moore was a total ringer. I thought he was sort of a newbie like me and it turns out he's been riding for years and even has his own dragon-like playground to ride in!

I think I have an idea of what I need to work on, so we'll see if I'm any better when April rolls around. Surprise

Just got home about 1/2 hour ago.  I had a great time and enjoyed meeting a few new people.  Lots of good riders in the group.  I was especially impressed with how well Oldman (Jack's) son Don did on that Warrior with it being his first trip up there.  Nice riding, everyone!  Yes, I "got passed by a girl" on a 600 cc sport bike.  Sherry (Randy's wife) blew by me like I was standing still.  I was giving it all it had in about 4th gear doing maybe 90 and accelerating with the throttle wide open when she passed me.  Oh well, I got a couple of compliments and feel like I helped show that not all Harleys are slow like Steve did when he was up there.  I haven't had a chance to look over the forum much yet and look at all of the videos that JamesD put up.  I was told I made the front page on killboy's site and found the picture.  Here you go:

    Shag:

Lots of good riders in the group.

That is what I enjoy the most. I learn more about riding in a couple days than I do the entire rest of the year. Lots of great riders.

The kid and I made it home bout 40 minutes ago.  We both enjoyed the hell out of it, cept for my back.  I wasn't real happy when Shag knocked my Wing over at the store but I guess something like that was to be expected.Wink  Great meeting everyone. Sure hope we can make it back next year.
