    Kansas Warriors??

Guess you don't need a Warrior , just two wheels!!Cool

Who is in the Topeka area or the Kansas side of the KC area??

Recently moved to the area (1/2 hr south of Top.) and need to find out where everyone rides to and what is coming up for stuff to do in the area.

I can't be the only Warrior in Kansas!!??

     Jeff.

    Welcome to Kansas Jeff!

No you aren't the only Warrior around here, but they're aren't too many of us. I live in Clay Center, which is a couple hours away from Topeka. To put things in perspective for you, visited the Yamaha dealer in topeka earlier this year looking for a warrior. I was told they don't have 'em and don't get 'em. Same story I got from the dealer in Manhattan. I ended up driving to Tulsa OK to get my new midnight. So no, you won't see too many warriors around. As for events, I guess there is a pretty big deal on the first sunday of every month in Cassoday. Big breakfast run/bike rally in a tiny little town. All bikes welcome. You can google Cassoday KS for more info. Never been but thinking about going sometime this summer. Again welcome to Kansas, always glad to hear about another warrior in a state full of Hardleys!

I do not condone nor do I practice spousal abuse, but I understand it.

Welcome.  I am in Nebraska straight north of Topeka(just over the border 4 miles) but originally from the Hays region.  Not many warriors have I seen around when traveling.

Thanks for the Ks. welcome guys. I have been visiting my brother regularly since he moved here about 8 years ago and deciced I liked the area so here I am. And I have not seen an abundance of Warriors in that time!!

Clay Center should be some decent riding? The lake out there has to be pretty cool.

     bgriffin,

You are probably a bit over an hour from Topeka? Is that close?

If it ever quits raining around here we'll have to get the Warriors together and go show some Harleys what a bike can do besides make noise!!!

I am south of Topeka towards Lyndon. The ride to Cassoday wouldn't be too bad but I have driven past the area and don't recall seeing anything but sagebrush!!??!!

I think it is 82 miles to Topeka.  They do have a Yamaha dealer, but I don't know how good.  The closest one to me is only 45 minutes,,but not had exactly great luck with them.

    Re: Kansas Warriors??

Well it's starting to look like a decent crowd around here.  THe one thing I've realized is that there isn't anywhere in Ks. that is close to anywhere else!!

I've been to Wichita a few times and that is only 2 hrs. Kc area is 1 - 1 1/2 hrs. Topeka , 1/2 hr. , about 1 1/2 to Junction City.

I need to get out this coming weekend. I may have another job firing up in about a week and it sounds like 10-12 hrs. a day and 6 days a week. No time to ride if that happens!!  If I am around for one of those Cassoday runs...damn right I'll ride to that one!

You aren't the only one that's for sure.  Cassoday isn't a bad ride for you.  Should be turnpike all the way.  An hour tops.  Get some good breakfast and decent scenery.  Other than that, it is a little scarce on things to do.

BTW, if they have the ABATE party at Perry Lake on Labor Day weekend, grab a tent and enjoy the good times (ala the Chilicothe Rodeo)

This weekend Fri, Sat, Sun and Monday, Indian Motorcycles of Wichita is having a rally/open house/grand opening party.  We will be going to check out what a $30,000 Indian looks like.  If any of you feel like getting out we will be heading out Sat afternoon/evening.
