Good bike night at the Vortex with about 300 or so bikes.  A lot of sporties and such were there.  I met another warrior rider who had never heard of this site and gave him the info.  He is riding a 05 midnight with a full speedstar kit on it.  Had upgraded bars, pegs, grips and I don't know what else.  He was riding it without the rear fender due to a wreck and his replacement fender was being painted.  Got the bike second hand, so may be a former member's bike.  His name is Juan and he lives in the Lawrenceville area.  Hopefully we will get a post from him so we can help him get his bike back in shape.

I know the voices aren't real, but they do have some good ideas.

I want to die while asleep like my grandfather, not screaming in terror like the passengers in his car.

I sent the wife a e-mail at work.  If she is up for it, might try to meet up with you over in the Savannah area tomorrow.  Won't know until later today what she wants to do, but she has been wanting to go for a longer ride (she rides a VStar).  I can't do WF, so this might be the next best thing.

What I want to know is -  All you riders in Atlanta and North GA.  Why aren't you guys getting up to WarriorFest????    It's only  2 hours from ATL.  What's up with that?????  You N GA boys will have to start meeting us TN boys in the N GA mountains a couple of times each summer.  How bout it???

Eric... www.twobrotherstires.com Priced out the Metzlers with the 210, stock size 880 on front for $480 installed... so your price don't look that bad to me. Thinking I'm gonna go with the Metzlers w/ the 210. Guy at the shop said it would definitely be better if I want to lay an occasional burnout and do more highway riding. Hoping I can get more miles outta them then you do.... lol :)

Reason I can't do WR is April is just a bad month for me, as far as be being able to get out on my bike for a trip, especially when my lady don't ride. My Son's birthday is the 25th, my 11 year anniversary is the 18th... This month is just tough for me. I would love to go but my baby also needs new rubber, about to show threads in a few spots on the back tire. I figure I can safely ride to a bike shop for new tires and that's about it until the new ones are installed.

I can't get to WF due to lack of work!  I got layed off 6 weeks ago and had a drug screen/physical Thursday.  Hopefully, I will start next week and things will be easier around the house.  I just got the wife's bike fixed thanks to a deal mechanic that helped me out a lot.  Cost me about a tanks of gas money to get the carbs taken apart, cleaned, vatted, and put back together.  Now that her bike is running, we are already planning on a ride tomorrow if anyone is interested.  Not looking to ride hard, just get her back into the grove.

Yes  Cool  Keep your eyes on the Southeast and we'll try to get a few meets for this summer.  Fort Mountain, Blood Mountain, Lookout Mountain etc.

Still here, but have been down for 6-months due to elbow surgery. Got out today and had a great ride!. Would love to hit the Vortex next week, but will be in Vegas on vacation. Like many here I got laid off, my last day is May 29th, so I should be ridin all the time after that date.

Sorry to hear about the elbow and more so about the job.  I think I have about 2 more weeks of being able to make the Vortex until my schedule changes.    My free time just got reduced as I was given an offer today (less $$) but steady work again starting next Monday.  That was a great day ride last year up from your area to the indian mounds and back.  I would love to be able to get a group together again and do that.  Do you still have the machine gun sounding pipes on your bike?
