Want to create a DIY MOD LIST

First of all, I would like your help in creating a list of all the DIY mods for the warrior for quick references (especially for the newbe's).  Not sure if this has been done or not????Hmm

I like how Arizonawarrior created the "library" of info and would like to make this similar to that but keeping it strictly to DIY mods only. So here's what I've come up with.  First I'll get the list, then I'll create a new thread with links to each mod.  Thanks guys!

Here's the actual list with links: http://rswarrior.com/forums/t/129336.aspx  I will be working on this a little bit each day.

          DIY:

    1. 240 both 8" and 8.5" wheels
    2. hidden brake caliper
    3. rear brake reservoir relocatation under seat
    4. fender eliminator (license plate bracket)
    5. rear fender chop (bobbed fender)
    6. flip & grind
    7. flip & grind passenger pegs?
    8. factory exhaust mod
    9. exhaust tip on factory header
    10. 2-1 Big Radius
    11. naked pully
    12. ECU adjust
    13. BAK or other air intakes
    14. remote oil pressure gauge
    15. left side cover on right side
    16. lower cowl inserts
    17. horn/rear brake switch clean up
    18. R1 front fender
    19. R1 forks
    20. internal wiring (bars)
    21. Internal frame wiring
    22. New head light
    23. LED turn signals (wrap around & lever mounted)
    24. tach relocation
    25. coil relocation

    coil relocate

I also think a few guys have done a flip and grind of sorts for the passenger pegs to relocate them

A lot of redundancy to your list WW but there are a few that aren't on the list.  The bracket for my fender eliminator kit is broken, so I'm going back to the original inner fender with Redhorse's mod.  Also, I'm going to clean up the left rear turn signal inners.

we CANNOT post how to do the DIY 240mod on the website. By doing the DIY you are reducing the structural integrity of your swingarm. Mods have removed all how to's on the subject. The site cannot be held accountable if something happens of someone gets hurt

Great idea!  Maybe you could include:

Dyna DC2-1 Coil Upgrade Mod (including shielded 8mm spark plug wires).  Note the DC2-1 coils are slightly larger but fit the oem coil mounts.   However the BAK and VBAK coil relocation plates require a little mod.

Front lower cowling (Yami) or (Low and Mean) with stainless mesh insert grille.

This will become more popular in the US as state laws continue to get stronger about side reflectors:  remove front wheel side reflectors and install white-lens LED's that glow amber.

Add cruise control.  Best is probably Brake-Away Cruise.

As you do this, you'll find the Model Year Differences post helpful for things like 'what model years don't need the passenger pegs flipped?' and etc.

Remember to inclde the Ram396 or LA Choppers adjustable lowering links with adding the Eibach 1,000 pound spring from "Ground Control" at the same time.

One challenge will be to cover all three of the 'big names' in integrated tail lights in a DIY post, each of which requires a little different install process.  It would be a mistake to 'pick one' that you think is the best because their quality of all units seems to change from time to time.

Indifferent when did this happen?  Tapeworm just finished his a month or so ago.  I understand the diy 240 with an 8.5" wheel could harm the integrity but the 8" wheel you just sand a tid bit of material away.  Plus it's just members showing what they have done, it's not the site itself posting this and I will post that all DIY mods are done at your own risk.

If the mods request no discussion on either DIY 240 then I will follow their request and remove it from the list.

Thanks Arizona!!  Ya I plan on posting different ways to do each DIY.  I have a feeling I will be calling upon you for wisdom throughout this process lol.  It will take me a while to complete this, I can only work on it a little bit at a time.

Yeah man, just check with the mods again to be sure. Tapeworm didnt really make a "How To" post. It was more like a "Look what I just did".
