Joe, great work there man. good to know these services are provided by one of our own. I bet that if given the chance, our forum members could produce a top shelf warrior with all the mods being done by forum members and then flip it for charity...hows that sound?

$35 sounds great for the tach housing!

If I paid you up front, and donated a set of stock risers to your cause, could you send me the polished tach before I sent you the exchange tach?

    What do you think??

So you think I'm not charging enough?  Hmm.  I'll have to fix that, OK, that'll be One Meeeeeeelllllllion Dollars.

    Big Smile

That's normally the way the parts exchange works, I set it up to reduce the down time that you'd have on the exchange parts, except in my deal you don't have to pay until you get the polished tach.  Oh and BTW, I'll take your stock risers for the cause, lol.  Also, I have one other in line for the tach housing and he is waiting on another part to arrive to me before I ship it all to him, but I can get the tach housing done and off to you, PDQ, if you can get it back to me quickly, he'll never know.  One other thing, you'll need to completely strip your housing of all the tach related part and switches.  They're not hard to remove it just takes some patients to figure it out.

On the housing, I remove the face plate and polish the entire housing, but I leave the plate blackened as it is anodized and a real BlTCH to polish.  I can either attach the face plate back on or ship it secured in the package and let you decide if you want it on or not.  It is just held by double sided tape.  I ran mine without the faceplate I liked that look.

Thanks Barry, Actually, I had in there at the end (Will you Barry?), but to avoid confusion I took it out.  I figured that you would understand, and I trust him to get me the housing back quick, he does custom parts for the members here and he understands urgency.  I sent Roger the address so that is taken care of and I'll get started as soon as it arrives.  Many thanks.

Nice looking work!  I'll be shipping out my tins to be painted and figure on having you polish a few things for me like everything on the handlebar (except mirrors and grips) the gas cap, fender struts and tach housing. Now I have a month of down time coming up and I would really like to get going on this as soon as some of my other parts come in.  If I sent all this stuff out to you would it be ready by the middle of June assuming I can ship these to you no later than May 1st? And one more thing. What kind of pipes are on your ride?

SBC (Mark), I am really happy that you are pleased with the parts, and that they arrived in good shape.  Just let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.

    Assmunch, LoL what a name.

The sooner that you can get parts to me the better the odds are of my having them ready when you need them.  If you were to get me your stuff by the first week in May I see no reason why they wouldn't be done and back to you by the end of May.  A lot of it depends on the workload that I have and being able to dedicate the time to making the pieces look the best that I can.  It doesn't leave here, until I would put it on my own bike.  Those pipes are the flush cut Rineharts, they sound as tough as they look and are probably the best 2 into 2 pipes around, IMHO.

I just wanted to vouch for CAD being a straight up guy!   Many of you know i have been on here for the last few years and in the process of finalizing my rebuild and i contact CAD about polishing some of the pieces, he wrote me back about 2 pages worth of information about the Pros & Con's based on what i was looking for.    From what i can tell this guy is extremely thorough and knows his stuff.   For the look i was going for he even said chrome might be better based on the parts i have and i respect him for that.    I havent ordered anything from him as of yet but im honestly considering it based on the quality of his work and what he has shown me in his character.

Wow, nice words to hear Embarrassed or read as it were.  I wasn't trying to talk you outta polishing, I just think you might be better served with chrome on the parts you are wanting done, and I don't want to mislead anyone and have them mad at me.  I'd rather be broke and have people respect me, than have money and be known as a twit, too bad the Wall Street guys aren't the same way, huh?  I worked for a man like that, he didn't care what people who were worth less than him thought of him as long as he was being paid, but when it came to people with more money than he, it was all ASSKISSING, all the time.  I'd spend hours at job sites taking measurements for little petty projects that some Senator's, ex-mayor of Chattanooga's, Bob Corker's wife wanted done.  And come to find out Senator Corker was only pacifying her and had no intentions on doing the job.  So this guy would pay me, sometimes 60 hours to lay out this project and he would know up front that it wasn't going to happen.  A long-time friend of his stopped by one day to inquire about borrowing $10,000 to save his elderly (read Ancient) mother's house form foreclosure.  She had fallen victim to a scam had borrowed money on her home at a terribly high rate and was going to lose it.  Joe (not me, the ex-boss) told his friend that he was not in the business to loan money and that the best he could do was to buy the house for what was owed on it $12,500 and then lease it back to them for one year, enough time to secure a loan to buy the house back from Joe at fair market value, approx. $80,000.  The friend declined the offer, and Joe could not understand why and became upset, cussed the man out and threw him out of the office.  Joe had known this man for better than 35 years and had borrowed the seed money for his construction company from him in the early seventies, naming him as a partner in the business.  That's enough of that, I just don't want to be known as another Joe Sliger.

Thanks again for the kind words and I hope that we can do some business together someday soon.

BTW, I added a few pictures to the ad on the first page and I'll have a few more in the next couple of days.

     Joe

    what goes around comes around....

    Lets hope heh?

Anyway when are you coming to Europe to help us out?

We can't really sample your services based on the shipping costs making it not viable.

Shame - I could honestly get tempted away from black!

Keep up the good work. I hope this "work" keeps the wolves from the door.

    Cheers -
