Polishing by the CADFather (Pics Added; 06/21/09) Page One.

I am out of work as some of you know so I'm falling back on something that I have some knowledge of; Polishing.  I can do most any material, brass, aluminum, copper, stainless steel, what ever you may that needs polishing, I'm your man.  And yes polished aluminum does require more attention than chrome, but

WHILE CHROME MAY SHINE IT JUST LACKS SOUL

While I'm on the subject let me state this and I cannot emphasize it enough, NEVER under any circumstances place a clear coat finish over polished aluminum.  It will oxidize over time and with clear coat over it you cannot get to it to clean it.  It's kin to painting clear over freshly sanded steel, it'll hold up for a short while but it will eventually rust.  My bike sat outside exposed to the elements after my crash in Sept. of 2006 for at least 3 months, and I haven't done anything to the polished surfaces in the last 2-1/2 years, they still look good, not show worthy but better than most would expect.  I've got a list of most of the parts for the Warrior that I have done with the noted exception of wheels and I tell ya, I'd really have to like you to do your wheels even if you're paying me.  I'm adding the wheels due to the volume of requests that I've had for them but I'll put it this way, you can get them chromed for what I can polish them for, now if your still interested shoot me a Private Message and we will talk.

I have a few parts that I can do on an exchange basis, ie I'll polish the part, send it to you, you then install it and send me your original part(s) back.  That is assuming your original is not beat up or damaged.  I'll compile a list of what I have on hand and add the word (exchange) beside the price, I am constantly adding to this list so if you don't see it just ask.  I don't have a core charge to protect myself on this, but all that I ask is for you to have been a member here for at least a year, or to have at least 50 posts.  If you don't meet either of those just PM me we'll work something out.

Be sure to let your non-Warrior friends know as well, they and you can check me out on the web at:  http://weislake.com/cps/

In addition to the pics here you can review my pics on my photobucket account at:

Now that is a thought I hadn't even considered.  If I can get power to run the buffer and sanders then yes I will.

I have a front set here, that I have not polished yet, I can do an exchange deal on.  I polish them and send them to you, you mount 'em and send me your old set.  I don't have an extra rear though, it would take about 3 days turn around plus shipping time for the rear.

Good luck in your indever....I polished members parts on here for a year(no longer though)and is definitly a challenging job.

are you now a site vendor? if not, i have a feeling this post will get pulled, locked, scrubbed..., and i would look into becoming a vendor on this forum. Especially seeing that other site vendors also offer the same services at a greatly marked up price and are paying for the oppertunity...and would definitly frown upon competition from non paying vendors (ask me how i know!!)

If so, congrats, and having seen your old bike and you did a fantastic job with it.....

ride it like you stole it!

Thanks I haven't contacted Sean about it but I will right now, I forgot how pissy some get here about things like this.  I've got ads on about 15 other bike forums and not one has mentioned it.  I guess I need to check them as well.  Thanks for pointing this out.  I guess polishing prices for RSWarrior members will have to go higher, to reflect vendor fees, they'll still be the same on the website though it should be up in a couple of days.

     Hey Joe,

Any chance you could do an exchange on a set of fender stays?  I'm getting itchy to ride and it's getting warm here finally.
