I go in to the U tomorrow at 8am. Chemo starts Saturday for 5 days, next day radiation and Friday the 26th the transplant. We have a website on Caring Bridge that will be updated most days by Karyn or I depending on how I feel. Hit visit on the home page tool bar and then enter steveburke on the second page about 1/2 way down. Thanks for asking. Cool

Re: 2009, MN Area Warrior riders. Cool bikes with cool riders.

Guys I need some help...I really don't know what I am looking for.

Have wrap around LEDs up front. Turn signals only. No running lights. I have the MD Wright integrated tail light...set to flash alert on braking. I also don't have a plate light. I don't have any resistors or equalizers...I have the fast flash rate which is fine.

Things worked fine when I left work today. About the time I got home, I noticed when I signal, both indicator lights were flashing. Both turn signals were also flashing (wrap arounds and tail light). If I signal left, the left turn signal is brighter and the right is also flashing but a little dimmer.

I pulled the headlight and all connections were tight. I unplugged both wrap around LED's, signal left or right and both sides of the tail light are flashing. I checked the fuses and all appear intact. I haven't pulled the tail light yet but I am not sure what to look for either.

I haven't been in rain or water, no changes in the bike. Everything has been running fine.

Has anyone seen anything like this? What should I look for? Not sure I even have the tools needed to find a short. If its not an open wire showing or broken connection, I'm not sure I know what to look for.  Any help or advise you guys can provide would be a huge help.

    NEVER MIND

Crisis overcome. Actually a little suprised. The power and the ground wires on the tail light we broken in half. They are under the tail light housing so I have no flippin idea how the wires got broken.

Reattached them with with solder and some new bullet connectors and we are back in business.

My brother and I will be heading to Grove Creek for the test and tune tomorrow and maybe for the bracket races later that night. This will be the first time either of us has drag raced at a track. I will have my bike, Jim is bringing a 73 LeMans Sport.  If anyone is interested it would be nice to see more then one warrior there.

So how did the Warrior run?

Bike ran good until the belt snapped on the 11th run. The track finally started to hook in the early afternoon, lost the belt on the 1-2 shift.

    1st run was a 8.86 sideways through 1st

Worst run 9.01sideways through 1st and most of 2nd

    Best run 8.26 with a 1.91 60ft. @85mph

All my reacton times sucked, best one being .488

My dealer said msrp for a Yamaha belt is $470.00 now days. I get a pretty good discount but I'm gonna have to shop around, that's just to much money.

Just curious what everyone else is running in the 1/8 mile. My goal for the day was 8.50, when the slip showed 8.26 I was a very happy camper. If I take out the best and worst runs the avg. would be around 8.50. I'm running a vbak, propipe, pc3, and 31t pulley.

Good.  You got it fixed in time to ride tomorrow.  Some sort of benefit ride out of Farmington tomorrow, Saturday the 20th.  I don't really know why or where, but I am sure it won't be too difficult to find.

Sadly, I can only get in a short ride this morning. We have 3 birthday parties to go to and host one for my son. At least I'll take the bike to the parties.

    Anyone getting out tomorrow?

So how much heat can this motor take.. I am pretty nervous that I might go ride again and have a warped head or something. I was down on university tonight and my head temp hit 340 and oil was like 250.... Time for an oil cooler that is a for sure. I was all stop and go for about an hour.

Beginners luck gave me a 7.946 sec ET at 87.68mph in the 1/8th mile.

The Brothers Banks were in that neighborhood, too.

I wouldn't worry about it.  It's not like you were in Phoenix and 120 air temp, and then stop and go.  How did you measure your head temp?

I just looked at the temps through the diag on the tach. The clutch was acting really wierd and I had some rod noise at take off. Going to change the oil. Pretty sure it will be alright.

Just kinda feeling it out.. Anyone in the local area interested in some used big shots? In great shape. I really want a shorter pipe and midnight run pipes are pretty much what I have my eye on.
