Did you know the first use of 'indifel' was by Christians in the 1400's?  Today its generic to all faiths, and generic to non-religious beliefs as well.  If everyone believed a chocolate donut was the healthiest food on the planet and you did not believe it, you would be the infidel.  The term has become nothing, so why would anyone with any education mind an Infidel's Club!!

Yeah, If it helps, we are using the term INFIDEL in a generic sense.

It all began a while back, one member argued that the war over seas was unjustifiable, thus making our military "Infidels" in the eyes of those who reside in the Middle East.

One of our Military Service Men who also is a Proud member od RSWarrior took the sig name INFIDEL, starting the club.

In this case, the term infidel has gone almost 360 in its definition to mean a Proud American, as if it were being shouted from an enemy of the U.S.

If you want too, look into definition 3, this could be the one we would more than likely fall under. We would be disbelievers in an unjustified war. We would be disbelievers to the fact that we were "Unprovoked".

 Actually, I'm not 100% sure this is what started it, but I called out someone making racist remarks about people from the middle east.  While I realize they were referring specifically to terrorists, the remarks were nonetheless uncalled for. I never made any such remarks about the war being unjustifiable, nor do I recall anyone else.  AND...I'm a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Afghanistan.  Having lost friends while I was there, and since in Iraq as well, I apologize if I'm I was a little sensitive to the ignorant racist remarks. 

The same individuals who made the racist remarks seemed to believe that "Infidel" was an offensive statement as well, and perhaps they also felt "two wrongs would make a right".

I'm actually a little let down that I allowed myself to get sucked into this, and for the record never disrespected anyone. I merely pointed out that I felt the racist remarks were unecessary and their use...ignorant.  Ignorance and stupidity are not the same.  

Here we go again. I would hope that my comment wouldn't have sparked all this......or did it?

Hello to all,

   I just got back from visiting my family in the mountains of NC and yes they are Infidels also. I am glad to see the new members and the intelligent conversations that have taken place. I'm sorry I wasn't here to participate. I am happy to see that the post wasn't locked and that there hasn't been any name calling or disrespecting going on. Good job to all and to those that helped others understand what the term "Infidels" means. To those of you who wish to change your names back after the begining of the year thanks for joining the ranks your screen name may not say Infidel but once an Infidel always an Infidel. I, on the other hand, will be keeping my name, as it is fitting for me. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and has a Happy New Year.

I still havent been able to change my name on here but no big deal.  I was regretably unable to get a pic but imagine this.  I was at the Parks Mall here in Arlington on Saturday.  As I am looking for a parking space I see a dark blue F-150 4door, 4x4 jacked up to the moon.  His license plate read....ready for this......NFDEL!!  I gotta get one of those for my bike!!
