    My helmet

So I'm picking up my brand new 08 Midnight tomorrow morning.  Tonight I pulled my helmet out of storage.  Sadly, it's been there for about 2 years.  I cleaned it up, and then I had an idea.  Scare the crap out of the dog.

My dog, Odie is a 9 month old yellow lab.  I was standing out on the deck, and Odie was inside.  I put on the helmet, and walked inside.  A few seconds later Odie saw me, and immediately started barking and growling.  Then he ran away.  So I chased him around the house a little bit.  He just kept barking and running away.

Then I took off the helmet.  After I finished laughing, I called Odie over, and showed him the helmet, and then put it on.  After that he realized it was me the whole time and wasn't scared anymore.

I don't know.  Maybe I'm just amused easily.

    Congrat's on the bike.

No doubt, you are easly amazed.

And you may want to consider getting a new helmet.  They have a expected life span of 2 to 3 years to provide full protection.

I recommend an Arai full faced as it has kept my face pretty.

    These helmets are AWESOME!

Love the look and the ability to move the visor OR the whole front piece. Its a modular helmet but cooler! lol

    Arizona Warrior:

So how was your first ride?

I did my first ride on Saturday.  It was a lot of fun even though I did it solo.  Went about 130 miles mostly to and around a few lakes.  Although I was pretty easy on it because I was afraid to ride too hard because of the brand new tires.  I wanted to make sure they were good and scuffed up before I really leaned into a corner.  The last thing I wanted to do was lay it down on the first day.

I rode about 40 miles on sunday, but ended up coming back because I ran out of places to go.  I went to all the cool spots on saturday.  But since then I've been working.  I rode it to work on monday.  Yeah I know it was labor day, but I got paid double time.  Gotta pay for this bike somehow.  Today it was raining when I left for work so the bike stayed in the garage.  The forcast looks good in Minneapolis for the rest of the week, so I think my truck is gonna stay parked for at least 4 or 5 days.
