    Crash... and asskick :(

So I'm not riding for a 3 weeks and maybe more :(

Washed the bike after riding in rain, decided to take it for a short ride to dry it.

Warmed the bike, geared up (thank God) and pulled in 1st gear away from a garage. After a 50 meters I had to turn right into the main road and there I see a minivan coming into my street obviously too fast for 90 degree turn. "Somebody is in trouble" - I thought, as I saw he would not be able to make it. And he didn't. He hits the edging hard, slashes his front right wheel AND TURNS DIRECTLY INTO ME!!! After one second later - SOUND, HIT, PUSH, SKY, LEGS, ARMS, GROUND, TURNING AND FALLING BIKE (left side)..... same second I jump on my legs, nothing hurts, I run around the van, open the driver's door and see a drunk face. That was IT!!! I punch him in a face, grab his clothes, get him out, punch his mug again and again... Only later I noticed that blood drops from my arm and the arm gets bigger than a glove. That *** was taken to the hospital to sew the face cuts. Maybe it was too much, but I'm not sorry at all. This guy got in a BIG trouble. He was drunk like a pig.

Well...the bike: forks?, front fender, tach cover, bars, sissy bar, bents, dents... insurance will take care of it.

Me: right arm - when I hit the van with right bar the brake lever crushed my arm (palmar crack), leg bruises, elbow bruise...

    Always wear your gear!!!

Glad to hear you beat his ass for that.  I hope you don't get in trouble over it.  If I was on a jury that heard a case against you for that then you would NOT get in trouble.

I'm pretty sure all the bruises and scrapes that guy had were "a result of the accident". Cool Who cares about that waste of life anyway, thankfully you are OK.

Glad you walked away. I would of wanted to do the same thing.....I hate the reality that I would get in just as much trouble if I took out my anger on someone who almost killed me.

First, I am very glad that you are OK and will heal.  Have the bike replaced and ride another day.

As for the jackbag, if he does not remeber, I hope he feels it when he wakes up.

Nerijus, if you are willing to travel I know a man in S. Pittsburg, TN that is deserving of a good ass kicking for running over a biker as well.  In all fairness, he was "punished" to the "fullest extent of the law", he had to pay a $50 fine and serve 5 hours community service.  I on the other hand got to spend several weeks in the hospital and suffer a stroke, so we're even.  Seriously mate, glad to hear that you are relatively healthy after your close call.

As far as beating the guy after the crash, I had to quit carrying my pistol after my crash as I am not really mentally stable enough to not put the barrel in his ear and pull the trigger, now.  That's according to my therapist and although I am generally an easy going kind of guy, I'm afraid he may be right, I can snap at the drop of a hat, and I'll drop the hat.

Again, really glad to see that you are safe, the bike can be repaired/replaced, we on the otherhand, no so much.

There is a trade-off to being crippled, you get the best parking, but the limping really sucks.
My wife calls me "Ol' 2-stroke," but I've never owned a 2-stroke bike in my life, I can't figure out where she gets that from. Hmmmm?

Very lucky that he did not take you out completely. As far as the beating, hopefully he won't remeber. Did the officers on the scene ask what happened to his face? Were there any witnesses?

As already stated, heal well, and rebuild better than you had before as far as the bike goes.

I guess we better all behave when Joe's around!

    Re: Crash... and asskick :(

I don't think he will remember or think to call "for justice". Plus he wasn't buckled up as he hit the roadside, then me, then another side. Really! As I opened the door he wasn't! That's why I got him out so easy. Or may be he fell out of the car later, because he was very drunk... who knows Hmm

Another words - if he wants a war - he will get it. I will get a layer and beat him once more. But I don't think we will get this far. He is just an ordinary drunk.

You really want to know what the officer said when he realised what was the cause of the blood on driver's face? He said: "I would do the same" Wink Really. I think he has got a bike in his garage.

I would not get so mad if I see a young kid who screwed up trying to show off in front of his friends or just a driver who was stupid and lost control of the car - anything can happen, but when I saw that drunk mug... I got really pissed, I still don't know how, but used the broken arm to beat him. Shock? Affect? Don't know now..., but felt no pain at that moment.

Nope. It was LATVIA. The neighbours. We lost basketball today to SPAIN... damn it...

We have some latvians onboard, isn't it "VLADENS"?!

Some pics. It does't show much, but...:
