Yes google maps are a good util...
Nice work on implementing the map to your site, see if you can set it to open up zoomed in a little more to your area to facilitate the user.
I suggest that instead of using your ISP's free web space, If you are in it for the long haul, go to Godaddy register a Domain with Hosting, it will not cost you more than around $40 a year an build you own site outside of your ISP
These would be some of your benefits:
1. You can change ISP and NOT loose your site! (a must if you spend a lot of time building your site)
2. You can register a simpler domain name and various sub domains free with hosting plan.
3. You will get 100 emails with your own registered domain address (ex: you@yourweb.com) for friends and family.
4. You will get a lot more space and free utilities to add blogs...Photo albums (which can be updated by your family, even by phone).. and much more
5. You can use their POP/SMTP server to configure your Cell/PDA... too send/receive emails (while most ISP only let you receive email form an outside source and not send unless you are connected on their net, unless they provide a SMTP)
Those are just some of many benefits you might be inteerested in. There are more comercial benefits too but you might not need them. I have many webs (for clients and work) and Godaddy.com is by far the best service out there...
Sadly my personal Web has been taken over by my many project testings and it no longer has personal data... Maybe I will rebuild it again...
You could also register a domain and point it to your home computer and serve your own webs as I started to do in this PC.
For example if you type http://erichinkle.com/abogadospr you will log into my personal PC and view a test of a work site (in spanish) a little slow to start but the it takes off.
Hope any of this can be usefull to you...
