    D I Y back rest

I will be going  to Bo's Bash this weekend and remembered how much my back hurts after a long ride, so I made this little back rest. It only took about 4 hours to make, not counting paint drying time. Had a little help with the leather stiching from a guy at work, but did the rest myself. It sure beats buying a $500 seat.Stick out tongue

Looks good.  In the future let me recommend that you attempt to make it adjustable.  I have a drivers backrest on my dual tour and its great until it isn't-if you know what I mean.  My fiance has the mustang with the adjustable rest and it is awesome.  Way easier to stay comfy longer because you are not stuck in one fixed position.  Great thinking though.

Forgiveness is between them and god....it's my job to arrange the meeting.

That looks great. Now go and buy some black nail polish and cover up those acorns.

Got back from Bo's bash and also a little trip to Indiana, round trip 882 miles, and this backrest is one of the best thing I have ever done to the bike. No back problems at all. As for the attaching hardware, I plan on getting acorn nuts and painting them black as jayridgerunner has suggested, just ran out of time before I left for the ride.
