    Rear Fender Photo thread

I know there's many of us WITHOUT a wide tire kit that would like to modify our rear fenders. I'm hoping for those of you without a wide tire that have modified their rear fenders to post some pics, and give us some good ideas. There are a lot of great looking fenders on the 240 + wheels that would not go so well on our unfortunate skinny back sides. I've done searches but just get tired of having to dig through searches for hours to find ideas. Just hoping to compile them all into one.

    Thanks guys.Beer

EDIT: well guess we'll open it to all sizes and any custom fender

i had the same thought.  I want to drag race this bike and the stock rear wheel would be best for that.  I love the tire hugger look, and plan to get tricky anyway.  I'm interested to see what shows up.

    Kinda bummed........

I thought this thread would take off like the exhaust photo thread.  If I had a custom fender, I'd start it off.  I'm interested in seeing what's out there.......

You might get a better response if you include everyone even those with wide tire kits... after all a rear fender even if it's wider will still fit your stock tire.

I'll start.  Here is a pic of what I came up with.

well, throughout me wandering around the site, I stumbled across a member here who has modified his rear fender.  I hope Zel doesn't mind, but here's a link to his gallery.

Love zel's fender!!! I pm'ed him about it and he said he got it from a guy on ebay. I think fenderbender777 or something like that very clean and mounts to swingarm. No fender stays needed.  very nice!!!!

Looks bad ass I was wonder if u can put some on that will it hold some weight or is it for looks. Was what I was thinking of doing but got to                     put the little lady on the back.  Also I dont like the gap between the seat and the fender. how do u get around that..

here is his reply to my pm."

The fender is bolted through the swingarm.  It is very stiff, doesn't rub the wheel.  I think if you want to carry a passenger you'd need to stick to a fender mounted with struts.  Before this fender, I chopped my stock fender that fit the original supports and seat.  The fender was a good 4" above the wheel.  I got this fender blank from a guy on ebay.  His ebay name is fenderbender777.  Send him a message and he'll make you any size width and side wall that you like.  The curve of his fenders fit the tire perfectly . "

the fender is unsprung and so a passenger would feel every bump in the road. Mama would not be happy.

I had a custom chopper before my warrior.......................and Mama wasn't happy.  She definitely didn't like feeling every bump.  And that fender was strutted to allow a passenger.

Holy thread hi-jack...sorry! what kind of pipes are those? Ithey look like jug huggers, but dont have the ugly extra bend in them (the reason i ditched mine) almost look like my smason shorties with tips on them.

Some people seriously shouldn't be allowed to mod motorcycles.
