Excellent question. Since there's no blink-rate on the brake/tail light the LED swap should still be good to go. Unless the factory did something via the ECU to monitor current as a method of making sure the bulbs are working, in which case you'd need a matching resistance for each bulb. That seems unlikely to be needed.
You might compare your mounting trim rings and fasteners to see if the bulb-type tail light ass'y is the same in both models. Heck you'll be on your back in Germany after hoisitng a few so while you're scattered out there on the bricks outside the pub just look up underneath one of the other guy's fenders and see what's what
